The Royal Welcome
The disciples went out and did exactly what Jesus told them to do. They led the donkey and colt out, laid some of their clothes on them, and Jesus mounted. Nearly all the people in the crowd threw their garments down on the road, giving him a royal welcome. Others cut branches from the trees and threw them down as a welcome mat. Crowds went ahead and crowds followed, all of them calling out, "Hosanna to David's son!" "Blessed is he who comes in God's name!" "Hosanna in the highest heaven!"
Matthew 21:6-9 (The Message)
When Jesus entered Jerusalem, some people threw their garments down before Him, others laid tree branches down. But they all praised Him. Jesus said, if they had been silent, the stones would cry out (Luke 19:40). What can you do today to give Jesus a royal welcome? Make sure you are in the crowd that is following the Lord. Humble yourself before Him and give Jesus all the praise He deserves.
Love,
Jackie
