A Great Calm
When Jesus and His disciples got into a boat, to go to the other side, a windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, and it began to fill with water. Jesus was sleeping. The disciples woke Him up and said, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”
Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. —Mark 4:39 (NKJV)
No matter what storms come into our lives, we can be sure Jesus is not sleeping and He does care. He is well aware of all that we are going through. When we bring Jesus into our situation, He will bring a great calm. Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. My peace I give to you.”
