Know the Time of Your Visitation
And they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.” When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. —John 20:13-14 (NAS)
How many times have we been like Mary? Jesus came near and we did not recognize Him. We did not know the time of our visitation. Thank God that He is relentless. He is the God of a second chance. He continues to pursue us and does not give up on us. In Luke 13:34 (NIV), Jesus says to Jerusalem, “how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.” Today, Jesus yearns to gather each one of us under His wings and hold us close to Him. Open your heart to Him and be willing. Stop fighting. Stop running and allow yourself to melt in His warm embrace. He absolutely loves you, just the way you are!
