The Blessing of Brokenness

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise.Psalm 51:17 (NKJV)

When something is broken, we tend to throw it away. However, God’s ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:9). When our lives are shattered and our spirits broken, God picks up all the broken pieces. He washes them off and puts them back together. The Master molds our spirits, and gives them a new shape. He restores purpose for every piece. He makes us whole again and strengthens our spirits. When you are battered, bruised and broken, instead of growing bitter, receive the blessing of letting God make you even better.
