Give Attention to God

Image
“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes. — Matthew 6:34 (MSG) Instead of dreading what may come in the future, put your attention on all the great works which the LORD is doing in your midst today. Do not be anxious about anything, but put your trust in God. The goodness of God endures continually (Psalm 52:1 NKJV). Give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! (Psalm 107:31)  Remain in His peace, the LORD will perfect that which concerns you. Amen!

An Ever-Present Help

Image
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. — Psalm 46:1 (NIV) The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress (Psalm 46:11 NIV). His Presence avails us of His power. Because His Presence is with us, we can draw from His ample supply of strength. With the Presence of our heavenly Father, comes His protection from the fiery darts of the enemy. His Presence enables us to persevere the times of trouble and stand triumphant through each battle. Amen.

Sing Praises with Understanding

Image
For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with understanding. God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne. — Psalm 47:7-8 (NKJV) When we truly understand that our God reigns, we can genuinely sing His praises. Understand, that God is higher than any trial that comes our way. God’s Word carries more weight, that your doctor’s report or what your checkbook is saying. Let us comprehend that nothing, absolutely nothing, can separate us from the love God has for us. With our heavenly Father on our side, who can stand against us?

The Voice of Triumph!

Image
Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph! For the LORD Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth. — Psalm 47:1-2 (NKJV) The Kingdom of God has a language. It is the voice of victory and triumph. Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: “The LORD’s right hand has done mighty things! (Psalm 118:15 NIV) Death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony, (Revelation 12:11). As an ambassador (2 Corinthians 5:20) and citizen of the kingdom of God, are you speaking the language of defeat or with the victorious voice of God's kingdom?

Make Real Gains

Image
For by their own sword they did not possess the land, and their own arm did not save them, but Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence, for You favored them. — Psalm 44:3 (NASB) Without the help of the LORD, we can make no worthy gains. Victory comes with His strong arm, His mighty Presence and His divine favor. The LORD blesses the righteous and surrounds them with His favor (Proverbs 5:12). His favor lasts a lifetime (Psalm 30:5). Praise the LORD for His help and His favor. We make real gains, in this life, when we allow His hand to lead us, guide us, protect us and make a way for us. Amen!

Thirst for the Living God!

Image
As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? — Psalm 42:1-2 (NKJV) Thirst for the living God and you shall be satisfied. In John 7:37, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.”  Drink in His grace, His goodness and His tender mercy. Sip on His mighty strength, His unfailing love, and His constant peace that surpassing all understanding. Consume His compassions, which are brand new every morning. When will you appear before God? He is waiting for you.

See the Light!

Image
For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. — Psalm 36:9 (NKJV) The LORD is God, and he has made his light shine on us (Psalm 118:27a NIV) and in us. Open your eyes to see His light. Let it lead you to living fountains of waters. His light will show you the way to abundant and eternal life. In His light, there is great peace and everlasting joy. Wisdom and truth reside in the light of the LORD. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light! (Ephesians 5:8)

Keep the Faith!

Image
Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way. — James 1:2-4 (MSG) Everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith (1 John 5:4 NIV). How do we become overcomers, if we never have any obstacles to come over? How do we consider it pure joy (James 1:2 NIV), when we encounter various trials? Because we know Jesus has already given us the victory! Hallelujah! So let us persevere and continue to fight the good fight, finish the race, and keep the faith (2 Timothy 4:7). And be of good cheer because Jesus, has overcome the world (John 16:33).

Wait with Hope

Image
Surrender yourself to the LORD, and wait patiently for him. Do not be preoccupied with an evildoer who succeeds in his way when he carries out his schemes. — Psalm 37:7 (GW) When you have done all you can do, and you have no more words to utter in prayer, wait patiently and with great expectation on the LORD. Wait with hope for the LORD, and follow his path, and he will honor you by giving you the land. When wicked people are cut off, you will see it (Psalm 37:34 GW). Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the LORD! (Psalm 27:14 NKJV)

He's There to Catch You

Image
The eternal God is your refuge, and his everlasting arms are under you. He drives out the enemy before you; he cries out, ‘Destroy them!’ — Deuteronomy 33:27 (NLT) The everlasting arms of our heavenly Father are underneath us. He is there to catch us when we fall. He formed us in our mother's womb and gave us the breath of life. He has continually been our support, since birth. God holds us close and carries us through the difficult times. He delivers us from all our troubles and will carry us even to old age. Our faithful God has not brought you this far to leave you now.

Run to God!

Image
The young lions lack food and suffer hunger, but they who seek (inquire of and require) the Lord [by right of their need and on the authority of His Word], none of them shall lack any beneficial thing. — Psalm 34:10 (AMP) Continually seek the LORD, and you shall not lack any good thing. Inquire of His will and do things His way. Do not rely on your own insight or understanding (Proverbs 3:5b AMP). Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God!  (Proverbs 3:6-7a MSG)

He Hears & Delivers

Image
When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their distress and troubles. — Psalm 34:17 AMP) Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all (Psalm 34:19 NKJV). We put our hope in the LORD. He is our help and our shield (Psalm 33:20 NLT). Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! (Psalm 34:8 NKJV)

In the Secret Place

Image
You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah — Psalm 32:7 (NKJV) In the time of trouble, the LORD shall hide you in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide you; He shall set you high upon a rock (Psalm 27:5 NKJV). The Message Bible says, that’s the only quiet, secure place in a noisy world, the perfect getaway, far from the buzz of traffic. In the secret place of His presence, He shall hide you from the plots of man (Psalm 31:20) and surround you with songs of victory. Hallelujah!

Great is His Goodness!

Image
How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world. — Psalm 31:19 (NLT) The Word tells us God lavishes His great love on us (1 John 3:1 NIV) and His great goodness. Lavish means He gives it liberally, in generous or extravagant quantities, in abundance. Over the top! He also gave us His Holy Spirit that we might realize, comprehend and appreciate the gifts of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly bestowed on us by God (1 Corinthians 2:12). Let us thank God for all that He has so richly and generously bestowed upon us!

Favor for Life!

Image
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. — Psalm 30:5 (NKJV) To everything there is a season. A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; (Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4). However, God turns our mourning into dancing; He puts off our sackcloth and clothes us with gladness (Psalm 30:11). Despite the seasons of our lives, the LORD, our faithful and mighty God extends His favor to us for a lifetime. We may have to endure some weeping for a night, but praise God, joy comes in the morning. Glory hallelujah!

You will See His Goodness

Image
Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. — Philippians 4:6-7 (MSG) We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them (Romans 8:26-28 NLT). He already has every detail worked out, and placed into His master plan. So remain confident of this: you will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13 NIV).

Dwell in His House

Image
LORD, I have loved the habitation of Your house, and the place where Your glory dwells. — Psalm 26:8 (NKJV) In the secret place where the glory of the LORD dwells, there is everlasting life, abiding peace and an extravagant love that never ends. In His Presence, there is fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore. His marvelous light shines brightly, in His holy habitation. It illuminates our darkness and guides us along on the path of life. One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple (Psalm 27:4).

He is with You!

Image
Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me. — Psalm 23:4 (AMP) No matter what dark valley you go through, no one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For He will be with you as He was with Moses. He will not fail you or abandon you (Joshua 1:5 NLT). This is His command—“be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9 NLT). The LORD is our loving shepherd; He is our protection and our guide. And best of all, He is with you!

Perfect & Proven!

Image
As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. — Psalm 18:30 (NKJV) Our heavenly Father, is perfect. He is good and He does good (Psalm 119:68)! His Word has proven true, time and time again, throughout the ages and for all generations. His Word shall not return to Him void, but it shall accomplish what He pleases, and it shall prosper in the thing for which He sent it. Let His Word be your comfort in affliction, for His word has given us life (Psalm 119:50).

Armed with Strength

Image
God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights. — Psalm 18:32-33 (NLT) God arms us with strength to go through the low valleys of life and stand strong and secure on the mountaintop. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak (Isaiah 40:29 NIV). In His strength we can crush an army; with our God we can scale any wall (Psalm 18:28-29 NLT). May we go from strength to strength [increasing in victorious power] (Psalm 84:7 AMP). Amen.

Tremendous Power!

Image
Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; — Colossians 4:2 (NKJV) In Jeremiah 33:3, the LORD promises that when we call to Him, He will answer and show us great and mighty things, which we do not know. Let us continue earnestly in prayer and remember to thank God for the answer. James 1:16b (NLT) says, the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. The Amplified version says: the earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. Our sincere prayers that come from deep within our hearts, make TREMENDOUS POWER available. Hallelujah! and Amen!

He’s Our Support

Image
They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the LORD was my support.  — Psalm 18:18 (NKJV) When your enemy attacks, the LORD will stand by your side. While others may abandon you, God is your strong and mighty support. Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in the LORD. In God (I will praise His word), in God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me? (Psalm 56:3-4)

My Rock!

Image
The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress, and my Deliverer; my God, my keen and firm Strength in Whom I will trust and take refuge, my Shield, and the Horn of my salvation, my High Tower. — Psalm 18:2 (AMP) The LORD is my Rock. When we build our lives on God, we are building on solid ground. When we stand on His Word, we have a firm foundation. In Matthew 7:24-25, Jesus said “…whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.” When you build on the Rock you will have a home that withstands the storms of life and a God that never fails you. Build on anything else, and it's like building on sinking sand. The castle which you erect will crumble and fall down, in the midst of the storm.

Eyes on the LORD

Image
I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, — Psalm 16:8-9 (NIV) When we keep our eyes on the LORD, our hearts are made glad, regardless of current circumstances. He is our strength in stormy seasons and enables us to overcome difficulties. We will not be moved by the harsh winds of adversity. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken (Psalm 62:6 NIV). Set the LORD always before you (Psalm 16:8 NKJV).

He's NOT Hiding

Image
O LORD, why do you stand so far away? Why do you hide when I am in trouble? — Psalm 10:1 (NLT) When we are in the midst of troubles, the enemy would have us believe that the LORD is no where around, but do not believe his lies. When we are overcome with life's difficulties, it is the LORD, who carries us through them. During the Israelites 40 years in the desert, they often felt abandoned, but the LORD provided everything they needed and brought them safely to the promised land. When you are overwhelmed with all that life brings your way, rest in the arms of the LORD and He shall renew your strength and carry you through.

How Excellent is His Name!

Image
O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens! — Psalm 8:1 (NKJV) Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the LORD our God (Psalm 20:7). Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth (Psalm 124:8). The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe (Proverbs 18:10). Your name, O LORD, endures forever, Your fame, O LORD, throughout all generations (Psalm 135:13). And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You (Psalm 9:10). Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together! (Psalm 34:3)

What Keeps Us Going

Image
That’s why we live with such good cheer. You won’t see us drooping our heads or dragging our feet! Cramped conditions here don’t get us down. They only remind us of the spacious living conditions ahead. It’s what we trust in but don’t yet see that keeps us going. Do you suppose a few ruts in the road or rocks in the path are going to stop us? — 2 Corinthians 5:6-7 (MSG) Our complete trust in the goodness of God will keep our heads lifted high, as we look to Him. Remembering that the LORD hears his people when they call to him for help and rescues them from all their troubles. (Psalm 34:17-18 NLT), is what will keep us going. Being confident that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13), will keep us from dragging our feet.

Linger in the Place of Worship

Image
So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open, drinking in your strength and glory. In your generous love I am really living at last! My lips brim praises like fountains. I bless you every time I take a breath; My arms wave like banners of praise to you. — Psalm 63:2-4 (MSG) When we are in the sweet spot of worship, we can drink in the strength and glory of our heavenly Father. We are able to indulge in His grace and mercy. Only in the place of worship, can we truly live in the generous and abundant love, that He lavishes upon us. Let praises and thanksgiving to God, continually flow from your lips. May we bless the LORD, as long as His breath is in our lungs. Hallelujah!

Walk in the NEW Way!

Image
Like a will that takes effect when someone dies, the new covenant was put into action at Jesus’ death. His death marked the transition from the old plan to the new one, canceling the old obligations and accompanying sins, and summoning the heirs to receive the eternal inheritance that was promised them. He brought together God and his people in this new way. — Hebrews 9:16-17 (MSG) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). When we accept Christ as our Savior, we transition from being lost to saved, from the old obligations to new promises, from being poor to being rich. As we continue to walk with God, we transition from being full of doubt, to having great faith, from being defeated and in despair, to triumphing over our troubles and walking in victory.

Live a Fruit-Bearing Life

Image
But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. — Psalm 1:2-3 (NKJV) Make this season a fruitful season in your life by delighting yourself in God’s Word and being planted firmly in His house, so the seeds of His Word can continue to be watered and bring forth the desired fruit. For the word of God is alive and powerful (Hebrews 4:12 NLT). It will cut through the weeds of life and make room for you to blossom and flourish.

Now is the Time!

Image
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. — Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) God has wonderful plans for you, and for your life. However, we have to do our part. The LORD had a storehouse of blessings in store for Job, but he had to do his part and pray for his friends and then he received double the blessings for all the trouble he had gone through. (Job 42:10). What is the LORD calling you to do? NOW is the time!
