Sing Praises with Understanding

For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with understanding. God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne. —Psalm 47:7-8 (NKJV)

When we truly understand that our God reigns, we can genuinely sing His praises. Understand, that God is higher than any trial that comes our way. God’s Word carries more weight, that your doctor’s report or what your checkbook is saying. Let us comprehend that nothing, absolutely nothing, can separate us from the love God has for us. With our heavenly Father on our side, who can stand against us?

Then, apply it to our daily lives by actually doing what it says. Great peace have those who love the law of the LORD, and nothing causes them to stumble. (See Psalms 119:143 NLT) Psalms 78:8 (NKJV) says, its a stubborn and rebellious generation, that did not set its heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” Our joy is not to be based on the fluctuating circumstances of our lives. We experience fullness of joy in the Presence of Yahweh and He is always with us. No matter what season of life you are going through, have continual and contagious joy. Let your joy overflow and spill out onto those around you.
