Shout Even More!

When he heard that Jesus from Nazareth was walking by, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Many people warned the blind man to be quiet, but he shouted even more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” —Mark 10:47-48 (NCV)

The crowd tried to silence Blind Bartimaeus, but he cried out all the more and received his sight. Had he listened to those around him, Bartimaeus, would have remained blind. It's important for us to know which voices to listen to and which ones to ignore. Don’t let the enemy of your soul, silence you from calling out to God and cause you to miss out on your blessing. Jeremiah 33:3 (NKJV), tells us to call to the LORD, and He will answer us, and show us great and mighty things, which we do not know.

Then, apply it to our daily lives by actually doing what it says. Great peace have those who love the law of the LORD, and nothing causes them to stumble. (See Psalms 119:165 NKJV) As pressure and stress bear down on you, find joy in His commands. (See Psalms 119:143 NLT) Psalms 78:8 (NKJV) says, its a stubborn and rebellious generation, that did not set its heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. Blessed and favored by God are those who keep His testimonies, and who [consistently] seek Him and long for Him with all their heart. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” Our joy is not to be based on the fluctuating circumstances of our lives. We experience fullness of joy in the Presence of Yahweh and He is always with us. No matter what season of life you are going through, have continual and contagious joy. Let your joy overflow and spill out onto those around you.
