Loved, Chosen & Accepted
But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted. —1 Peter 2:9-10 (MSG)
We are loved, chosen and accepted by the Creator of the universe. Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love (Ephesians 1:4 MSG). God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure (Ephesians 1:5 NLT).
Our enemy wants us to feel rejected, belittled, small and insignificant, etc. to keep us from speaking out about our great God and Father. But we are sons and daughters of Almighty God, and we have been chosen for a high calling. Just as Jesus said in Luke 2:49, let us be about our Father’s business and tell others the difference He has made in our lives.
