Something New
“Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.” —Isaiah 43:19 (NASB)
“Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past.” (Isaiah 43:18 NASB) It is hard to press on to what God has for you if you keep looking back at the disappointments, hurts and regrets of the past. Just as His mercies begin afresh each morning (Lamentations 3:23 NLT), the LORD is always doing something new. The Message Bible says: “Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new.”
