Draw from the Well

Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water?—John 4:10-11 (NKJV)

If a well is the only source of water for a city and the people in that city never go to the well and draw water, they will die of thirst. Just as the Samaritan woman came to the well to draw water, we must come to Jesus, if we don’t want to perish. When we give our heart to Jesus, we receive the gift of God, eternal life and a more abundant life here on earth. Having believed, we were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise (Ephesians 1:13). We have the Holy Spirit dwelling in us. He is our Helper and the source of our strength. When we stay connected to Jesus, and continually draw from His Holy Spirit, an unlimited supply of resources are made available to us. Draw living water from the spiritual well within, and drink in the goodness of the Lord.

They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, and You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. (Psalm 36:8)
