This is the Way

Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left. —Isaiah 30:21 (NLT)

In the midst of adversity and affliction, may we look unto Jesus, our Champion and listen for His voice. Jesus said, His sheep recognize His voice and they follow Him because they know His voice. They won't follow a stranger because they don’t know his voice. (John 10:3-5) Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. (John 4:6)  When we give attention to God, He leads us out into the open, into a spacious, free life. In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade. (2 Corinthians 2:14 MSG) Choose life. Choose to follow Jesus, in good times and bad, through the storms and in the fiery furnace, knowing you are on your way to a glorious place.

Prepare Your Heart

For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel. — Ezra 7:10 (NKJV) May we prepare our hearts and set our minds to diligently read and study the Word of God. Then, apply it to our daily lives by actually doing what it says. Great peace have those who love the law of the LORD, and nothing causes them to stumble. (See Psalms 119:165 NKJV) As pressure and stress bear down on you, find joy in His commands. (See Psalms 119:143 NLT) Psalms 78:8 (NKJV) says, its a stubborn and rebellious generation, that did not set its heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. Blessed and favored by God are those who keep His testimonies, and who [consistently] seek Him and long for Him with all their heart. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” Our joy is not to be based on the fluctuating circumstances of our lives. We experience fullness of joy in the Presence of Yahweh and He is always with us. No matter what season of life you are going through, have continual and contagious joy. Let your joy overflow and spill out onto those around you.
