All We Need

Image
Lord, so many times I fail; I fall into disgrace. But when I trust in you, I have a strong and glorious presence protecting and anointing me. Forever you’re all I need! — Psalm 73:26 (TPT) In this world, we will have troubles. Yet, in spite of all this, you comfort me by your counsel; you draw me closer to you. You lead me with your secret wisdom. And following you brings me into your brightness and glory! Whom have I in heaven but you? You’re all I want! No one on earth means as much to me as you. (Psalm 73:23-25 TPT) May we desire His Presence more than anything on earth. A single day in His courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. (See Psalm 84:10 NLT)  …I’ll keep coming closer and closer to you, Lord Yahweh, for your name is good to me. I’ll keep telling the world of your awesome works, my faithful and glorious God! — Psalm 73:28 (TPT)

A Portal to God’s Power

Image
Let the weak say, “I am strong!” — Joel 3:10b (AMP) After the Apostle Paul pleaded with the Lord three times to relieve him of a thorn in his flesh, the LORD said... “ My grace is always more than enough for you, and my power finds its full expression through your weakness. ” So I will celebrate my weaknesses, for when I’m weak I sense more deeply the mighty power of Christ living in me. So I’m not defeated by my weakness, but delighted! For when I feel my weakness and endure mistreatment—when I’m surrounded with troubles on every side and face persecution because of my love for Christ—I am made yet stronger. For my weakness becomes a portal to God’s power. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10 TPT) In quietness and trust in the Lord Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, you will be made strong. (See Isaiah 30:15 TPT)

A Legacy of Peace

Image
“My peace is the legacy I leave to you. I don’t give gifts like those of this world. Do not let your heart be troubled or fearful.” — John 14:27 (VOICE) Jesus has given us a legacy of peace. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; (John 10:10a NASB). When we focus on challenges and troubles, we worry and become anxious. This allows the enemy to steal our peace and joy and destroy our hope. Let us look away from all that will distract us and focus our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith… (See Hebrews 12:2 AMP) He came that we may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. (See John 10:10b AMP) For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand, Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’ — Isaiah 41:13 (NASB)

Shine!

Image
“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.” — Isaiah 60:1 (NASB) For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. (2 Corinthians 4:6-7 NLT) God’s mighty power works in us and through us, to fill the earth with His glory. Let the light of His love and hope shine through you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. (Philippians 2:15b NLT)

Don’t Let Doubt Win!

Image
“Come and join me,” Jesus replied. So Peter stepped out onto the water and began to walk toward Jesus. But when he realized how high the waves were, he became frightened and started to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he cried out. Jesus immediately stretched out his hand and lifted him up and said, “What little faith you have! Why would you let doubt win?” — Matthew 14:29-31 (TPT) Why would you be so frightened? Don’t let doubt or fear enter your heart, for our God is the great “ I AM !” (See Luke 24:38 TPT) Just make sure you ask empowered by confident faith without doubting that you will receive. For the ambivalent person believes one minute and doubts the next. Being undecided makes you become like the rough seas driven and tossed by the wind. You’re up one minute and tossed down the next. (James 1:6 TPT) No matter how high the waves are, don’t give in to your doubts any longer, just believe! Jesus:  “Don’t get lost in despair; believe in God, and keep on believing in Me.”  — John 1...

Our Saving Grace

Image
So I say to my soul, “Don’t be discouraged. Don’t be disturbed. For I know my God will break through for me.” Then I’ll have plenty of reasons to praise him all over again. Yes, living before his face is my saving grace! — Psalm 42:11 (TPT) Our saving grace is that we get to live before the face of our heavenly Father. Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually. (1 Chronicles 16:11 NASB) He is the God of breakthrough. He will turn your situation around.  The LORD bless you, and keep you [protect you, sustain you, and guard you]; (Numbers 6:24 AMP) The LORD cause His face to shine on you, and be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His face to you, and give you peace.’ (Numbers 6:25-26 NASB)

Sure & Fearless

Image
God is our shelter and our strength. When troubles seem near, God is nearer, and He’s ready to help. So why run and hide? No fear, no pacing, no biting fingernails. When the earth spins out of control, we are sure and fearless. When mountains crumble and the waters run wild, we are sure and fearless. — Psalm 46:1-2 (VOICE) God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. (Psalm 46:1 NLT) You can be sure that the Lord is on your side and remember, He has already gained the victory. Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment]. (Hebrews 4:16 AMP)

This is the Day

Image
This is the day which the LORD has made; Let’s rejoice and be glad in it. — Psalm 118:24 (NASB) The LORD had this day written in His book before you had lived a single day. (See Psalm 139:16) Be present each moment of today. God woke you up today because He has a purpose and a plan for this day that includes you. He has gone before you and made a way. Make a choice to rejoice and be glad. So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. (2 Corinthians 4:18 NLT) for we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises] — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (AMP)

Be Transformed

Image
Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes. — Romans 12:2 (TPT) Transformation begins on the inside, and eventually shows itself on the outside. As we meditate on the Word of God and treasure it in our hearts, we will bear the fruit of His Spirit in our actions and attitudes. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. (Joshua 1:8 NLT)

His Nearness is Our Good

Image
The LORD appeared to me (Israel) from ages past, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you.” — Jeremiah 31:3 (AMP) Our heavenly Father draws His people close to Him with lovingkindness and unfailing love. …it is good for me to draw near to God; I have made the Lord God my refuge and placed my trust in Him, that I may tell of all Your works. (Psalm 73:28 AMP) …whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6 AMP) For a day in His courts is better than a thousand [anywhere else]; I would rather stand [as a doorkeeper] at the threshold of the house of my God than to live [at ease] in the tents of wickedness. (See Psalm 84:10 AMP)

Run to Win

Image
Isn’t it obvious that all runners on the racetrack keep on running to win, but only one receives the victor’s prize? Yet each one of you must run the race to be victorious. A true athlete will be disciplined in every respect, practicing constant self-control in order to win a laurel wreath that quickly withers. But we run our race to win a victor’s crown that will last forever. — 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 (TPT) So don’t run aimlessly. Don’t let your eyes drift off the finish line. Run with purpose in every step. Do not flail around like one beating the air [just shadow boxing]. (See 1 Corinthians 9:26 VOICE/NLT/AMP) Sprint toward the only goal that counts: to cross the line, to win the prize, and to hear God’s call to resurrection life found exclusively in Jesus the Anointed. (See Philippians 3:14 VOICE) …we must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has bee...

We Triumph!

Image
Who could ever separate us from the endless love of God’s Anointed One? Absolutely no one! For nothing in the universe has the power to diminish his love toward us. Troubles, pressures, and problems are unable to come between us and heaven’s love. What about persecutions, deprivations, dangers, and death threats? No, for they are all impotent to hinder omnipotent love, — Romans 8:35 (TPT) Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything! (Romans 8:37 TPT) Don’t let the concerns of this world distract you from Christ and His unfailing love for us. He overcame the world and because we abide in Him, we too shall overcome.   Yet I am so thankful to God, who always marches us to victory under the banner of the Anointed One; and through us He spreads the beautiful fragrance of His knowledge to every corner of the earth. — 2 Corinthians 2:14 (VOICE)

Refuse to Worry

Image
So here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Leave all your cares and anxieties at the feet of the Lord, and measureless grace will strengthen you. — Psalm 55:22 (TPT) Be still and know that He is God, a great and mighty God. Don’t let anxious thoughts run amok in your mind. We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One. (2 Corinthians 10:5 TPT) “ Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time. Tomorrow will take care of itself. ” — Matthew 6:34 (TPT)

Keep the Faith

Image
But it wasn’t long before the weather abruptly worsened and a storm of hurricane force called the Nor’ easter tore across the island and blew us out to sea. The sailors weren’t able to turn the ship into the wind, so they gave up and let it be driven by the gale winds. — Acts 27:14 (TPT) Don’t give up, in the midst of the storm.  Instead of being tossed to and fro by the wind and the waves, anchor your hope in Jesus the Christ. He is our only hope. Keep faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith. (See 1 Timothy 1:19 NASB) And He said to them, “Where is your faith?” But they were fearful and amazed, saying to one another, “Who then is this, that He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him?” — Luke 8:25 (NASB)

The Heart Matters

Image
“ The heart is hopelessly dark and deceitful, a puzzle that no one can figure out. But I, God, search the heart and examine the mind. I get to the heart of the human. I get to the root of things. I treat them as they really are, not as they pretend to be. ” — Jeremiah 17:9-10 (MSG) The LORD is the righteous God, the soul searcher, who looks deep into every heart to examine the thoughts and motives. (See Psalm 7:9 TPT) He is more concerned with the hidden person of the heart, than with your outer appearance. Our hearts grow to be more like Him, as we spend time with Him. Therefore, “…learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the LORD sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him... (See 1 Chronicles 28:9 NLT). The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him …” — 2 Chronicles 16:9a (NLT)

Go in His Strength

Image
Seek and deeply long for the LORD and His strength [His power, His might]; Seek and deeply long for His face and His presence continually. — Psalm 105:4 (AMP) The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart triumphs, and with my song I shall thank Him. (Psalm 28:7 NASB) In your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall. (Psalm 18:29 NLT) The LORD gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace. (Psalm 29:11 NLT) Go forth in the strength of the LORD. Some find their strength in their weapons and wisdom, but my miracle deliverance can never be won by men. Our boast is in the Lord our God, who makes us strong and gives us victory!  — Psalm 20:7 (TPT)

Be Bold & Courageous

Image
On the day I called, You answered me; You made me bold with strength in my soul. — Psalm 138:3 (NASB) The wicked flee when no one is pursuing, but the righteous are bold as a lion. (Proverbs 28:1 NASB) For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7 NLT)  “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere…” (Acts 1:8 NLT) May we be bold in the power and strength of the Lord to tell others about our great God and what He has done. And when they had prayed, the place where they were meeting together was shaken [a sign of God’s presence]; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness and courage. — Acts 4:31 (AMP)

His Unfailing Love

Image
And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. — Ephesians 3:18-19 (NLT) Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you! I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer. You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy. (Psalm 63:3-5) Because of your unfailing love, I can enter your house; I will worship at your Temple with deepest awe. (Psalm 5:7) Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever. (Psalm 23:6) May we receive His unconditional, never failing love and lavish it on everyone who comes our way. The LORD leads with unfailing love and faithfulness all who keep his covenant ...

Be Committed

Image
“You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both inclination and character], because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation].” — Isaiah 26:3 (AMP) When I am afraid, I will put my trust and faith in You. (Psalm 56:3 AMP) What harm could a man bring to me? With God on my side I will not be afraid of what comes. The roaring praises of God fill my heart, and I will always triumph as I trust his promises. (Psalm 56:4 TPT)

Be Sure of This

Image
“ Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age. ” — Matthew 28:20 (NLT) Be sure of this, Jesus is with us always, and the same power that raised Him from the dead resides in us. He is with us for a purpose. Let us be engaged and active ambassadors for Christ, and the Kingdom of God. We are called to do even greater works. In John 14:12 (AMP), Jesus said, “ I assure you and most solemnly say to you, anyone who believes in Me [as Savior] will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these [in extent and outreach], because I am going to the Father .”

Confidently Trust

Image
Light shines in the darkness for the godly. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous. They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the LORD to care for them. — Psalm 112:4, 7 (NLT) In John 16:33 (TPT) Jesus said, “… in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows …” So, beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though something strange were happening to you. (1 Peter 4:12)  Jesus went on to say, “… you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world! ” Focusing on problems leads to anxiety, depression, and hopelessness. When we keep our eyes on Jesus, we can experience perfect peace at all times. Confidently trust in the LORD and in His Word. In Isaiah 43:2 (NLT), the LORD says: “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consum...

Come Closer

Image
Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you. But make sure you cleanse your life, you sinners, and keep your heart pure and stop doubting. — James 4:8 (TPT) We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:18 TPT) So you also keep your hopes high and be patient, for the presence of the Lord is drawing closer. (James 5:8 TPT) …you comfort me by your counsel; you draw me closer to you. You lead me with your secret wisdom. And following you brings me into your brightness and glory! — Psalm 73:23-24 (TPT)

Be at Peace

Image
I have told you these things so that you will be whole and at peace. In this world, you will be plagued with times of trouble, but you need not fear; I have triumphed over this corrupt world order. — John 16:33 (VOICE) Don’t run from tests and hardships, brothers and sisters. As difficult as they are, you will ultimately find joy in them; if you embrace them, your faith will blossom under pressure and teach you true patience as you endure. And true patience brought on by endurance will equip you to complete the long journey and cross the finish line—mature, complete, and wanting nothing. (James 1:2-4 VOICE) In the midst of troubles and trials, keep on trusting Jesus. In Him, we may have perfect peace in all circumstances. He has overcome this world. His conquest is accomplished, His victory abiding. (See John 16:33 AMP)

Seek God

Image
Seek the LORD, all who are humble, and follow his commands. Seek to do what is right and to live humbly. Perhaps even yet the LORD will protect you— protect you from his anger on that day of destruction. — Zephaniah 2:3 (NLT) The LORD looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God. (Psalm 14:2 NLT)  “As for me, I would seek God and inquire of Him, and I would commit my cause to God; Who does great and unsearchable things, marvelous things without number.” (Job 5:8-9 AMP) Seek the LORD while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near. (Isaiah 55:6 NASB) Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually. (1 Chronicles 16:11 NASB) The young lions do without and suffer hunger; but they who seek the LORD will not lack any good thing. — Psalm 34:10 (NASB)

Arise & Shine!

Image
“ In the land of Zebulun and of Naphtali, beside the sea, beyond the Jordan River, in Galilee where so many Gentiles live, the people who sat in darkness have seen a great light. And for those who lived in the land where death casts its shadow, a light has shined. ” — Matthew 4:15-16 (NLT) “Rise up in splendor and be radiant, for your light has dawned, and Yahweh’s glory now streams from you! Look carefully! Darkness blankets the earth, and thick gloom covers the nations, but Yahweh arises upon you and the brightness of his glory appears over you! (Isaiah 60:1-2 TPT) Arise and shine! For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,  in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. (Colossians 1:13-14 NASB)

He Knows You

Image
O LORD, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, LORD. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. — Psalm 139:1-5 (NLT) You, beloved, are worth so much more than a whole flock of sparrows. God knows everything about you, even the number of hairs on your head. So do not fear. (Matthew 10:30-31 VOICE) Wherever you go, His hand will guide you, and His strength will empower you. (See Psalm 139:10 TPT) How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!  — Psalm 139:17-18 (NLT)

Come Boldly

Image
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. — Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV) And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:19-22 NLT)  …let us hold fast our confession of faith and cling tenaciously to our absolute trust in Jesus, the Son of God, as Savior. (See Hebrews 4:14 AMP)

Live for the Lord

Image
For not one of us lives for himself, and not one dies for himself; for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. — Romans 14:7-8 (NASB) Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NLT) May we live to honor the Lord and bring glory to His Kingdom. Let every activity of your lives and every word that comes from your lips be drenched with the beauty of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. And bring your constant praise to God the Father because of what Christ has done for you! (Colossians 3:17 TPT) The Amplified Bibles says, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus [ and in dependence on Him ]… (Colossians 3:17b)
