Living in the Light

If anyone claims, "I am living in the light," but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is still living in darkness. Anyone who loves another brother or sister is living in the light and does not cause others to stumble. 
1 John 2:9-10 (NLT)

Followers of Jesus Christ are children of the light (1 Thess. 5:5). God has called us out of darkness and into His wonderful light (1 Peter 2:9). If anyone hates, he is still living in darkness. Jesus said "By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:35) Let us be a good witness to unbelievers and walk in the unconditional love of Jesus Christ with our Christian brothers and sisters.

For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel. — Ezra 7:10 (NKJV) May we prepare our hearts and set our minds to diligently read and study the Word of God. Then, apply it to our daily lives by actually doing what it says. Great peace have those who love the law of the LORD, and nothing causes them to stumble. (See Psalms 119:143 NLT) Psalms 78:8 (NKJV) says, its a stubborn and rebellious generation, that did not set its heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” Our joy is not to be based on the fluctuating circumstances of our lives. We experience fullness of joy in the Presence of Yahweh and He is always with us. No matter what season of life you are going through, have continual and contagious joy. Let your joy overflow and spill out onto those around you.
