Manna for Your Morning

My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him,  for God is our refuge. Psalm 62:7-8 (NIV) We can trust in God at all times. No matter how hopeless the circumstances may appear, we can depend on God. He will work all things together for good. "Pray that the LORD your God will tell us where we should go and what we should do." Jeremiah 42:3 (NIV) A remnant of the Israelites approached Jeremiah the prophet and asked him to seek direction from the LORD for them. The above prayer is a perfect example of how believers are to seek guidance from our wise God. Simply ask the LORD where you should go and what you should do. And when He answers your petition may you have the heart to obey His instruction. Amen. Love, Jackie

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him. 1 John 5:14-15 (NIV) May we approach the throne of grace, confident that the ear of God is open to hear our pleas. And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 (NLT) In all of the Apostle Paul's trials and tribulations, God generously supplied all he needed. Paul says, this same God will supply all your needs. God does not change and He is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34 KJV). Trust your heavenly Father to amply supply all your needs in every area of life. Love, Jackie

"Sacrifice thank offerings to God,  fulfill your vows to the Most High, and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me." Psalm 50:14-15 (NIV) When you face difficulties of any kind, call upon God. The world and all that is in it belongs to Him. He is mighty and able to deliver you from all your troubles. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD,  "plans to prosper you and not to harm you,  plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) The LORD has good plans for you. Psalm 139:16 says, "all our days were ordained and written in His book before one of them came to be." So, when it looks like a situation is destined for disaster, know that God has already established a way out for you. Psalm 43:3-4 (NIV) God is light (1 John 1:2) and His Holy Spirit dwells in you. May you follow His guidance. Delight yourself in the LORD and praise Him as He shows you the way through every challenge and circumstance that comes before you. I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow. Jeremiah 31:13 (NIV)   The LORD comforts His people; he comforts all who mourn. He is the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3). His consolation brings joy to your soul (Psalm 94:19). In His presence, deep sorrow is turned to overflowing joy. Praise be to the LORD, for he has heard my cry for mercy. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. Psalm 28:6-7 (NIV) The LORD is faithful. He is your strength and your protection against the darts the enemy throws your way. The LORD is your helper and there is nothing too difficult for Him. Amen. Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed;  he answers him from his holy heaven with  the saving power of his right hand.  Some trust in chariots and some in horses,  but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. Psalm 20:6-7 (NIV) Let us not trust in the devices of man. Trust in the name of the LORD our God. His glorious name is above all names. The mighty name of the LORD is a strong tower. He has never forsaken those who call upon Him. He answers from heaven and saves with His right hand. Praise His holy name. Love, Jackie

This is what the LORD says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and  you will find rest for your souls." Jeremiah 6:16 (NIV) Each day we face crossroads where we must decide to go along with the world and listen to our selfish, fleshly desires or follow God's way. Today, you will choose whom you serve. It will be evident in your actions and in your speech. Jesus is the Way, the good way. His way is full of light and it leads to everlasting life. When you come to those life-defining moments, choose to go His Way and you will find rest for your troubled soul. Love, Jackie

Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has  perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you,  who acts on behalf of those who wait for him. Isaiah 64:4 (NIV) The ways of the LORD are higher than our ways and as we wait patiently for Him, He acts on our behalf. Our battles belong to the LORD and He gives us the victory. He delivers us from all our troubles. Wait upon the LORD, follow Him and overflowing joy, peace and prosperity will be yours. He has sent me to ...bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,  the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a  garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. Isaiah 61:1, 3 (NIV) The Sovereign LORD sent Jesus Christ to the earth to release the prisoners from darkness. Jesus gives us a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. He has given us reason to rejoice. The brilliant light of Jesus shines upon us and chases away the darkness. Jesus clothes us with eternal hope, deep peace and abundant joy. "Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed." says the LORD, who has compassion on you. Isaiah 54:10 (NIV ) You may go through the furnace of affliction but the LORD's unfailing love for you will not be shaken. You may experience winds of adversity and stormy seas but His covenant of peace will not be removed. When all else fails you, know that you have God's unfailing love and His everlasting peace. The LORD will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard. Isaiah 52:12 (NIV) The LORD goes before you and makes the rocky places smooth. Let him who walks in the dark, who has no light,  trust in the name of the LORD and rely on his God. Isaiah 50:10 (NIV) Fully rely on God. He will turn your darkness to light. He will make a way out of no way.  God will change your sadness to joy. Trust in the mighty name of the LORD. Love, Jackie

So do not fear, for I am with you;  do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you;  I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 (NIV) Have no fear and do not be discouraged because God is your helper. Nothing is too difficult for Him. He holds you up. He is your defender and support. Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Isaiah 40:28-29 (NIV) The Creator of the earth gives breath to all people. The everlasting God renews the strength of the weary as they hope in Him. When the weak call on the LORD, He gives them power to withstand the forces that work against them. God has an everlasting supply of power and strength and He willingly gives to all who ask. Do you need to be energized by the LORD today? Just ask. Love, Jackie

See, the Sovereign LORD comes with power, and his arm rules for him. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him. He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young. Isaiah 40:10-11 (NIV) The LORD is our strong shepherd and we are the flock under His tender care. He calls us each by name and amply supplies all of our needs. The LORD lovingly carries us close to His heart, where we are comforted and protected. The good shepherd loves us so much He gave His life to save us. Praise the LORD!  Love, Jackie

Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him! Isaiah 30:18 (NIV) We are so privileged to have Almighty God longing to give us grace. When we come to Him and ask for forgiveness of our sins, He extends His grace, without hesitation. The LORD rises to show us compassion and His compassions for us are new every morning. May we wait on His direction and guidance in every area of life. The fruit of righteousness will be peace;  the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.  My people will live in peaceful dwelling places in secure homes,  in undisturbed places of rest. Isaiah 32:17-18 (NIV) When we do what is right, the precious fruit of peace is produced in our lives. We receive righteousness through Jesus Christ and as we abide in Him, quietness and confidence is ours forever. Our souls can rest in peace and be undisturbed by the unstable circumstances of this world. Amen. Love, Jackie

LORD, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished  you have done for us. Isaiah 26:12 (NIV) Whatever we have done, the LORD has given us the strength and wisdom to accomplish it. He has opened doors that man tried to shut and closed doors that no one could open. Stick with the LORD, and He will fight your battles and make you victorious. So this is what the Sovereign LORD says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who trusts will never be dismayed." Isaiah 28:16 (NIV) No one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3:11). He is our sure foundation. Anything else on which we build our lives is shifting sand. He is a foundation of truth, anything else is a lie. Jesus is the firm foundation on which we can stand and not be moved. "So don't worry about these things, saying, 'What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?' These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need." Matthew 6:31-33 (NLT) Our heavenly Father already knows all our needs. He does not want us worrying about obtaining them. We are to cast our cares on God and seek His Kingdom first and foremost. And He will amply supply all that we need. Praise God!  Love, Jackie

Isaiah 12:2-3 (NIV) Trust in the LORD. He is the source of your strength and your joy. Give thanks unto Him, for He is faithful. Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs - he wants to please his commanding officer. 2 Timothy 2:3-4 (NIV) We are to be in this world but not of this world (John 17:16). Do not become entangled with the concerns of this life. We are to put God first and keep our eyes on the Lord, then all these other things will be added unto us. Don't get distracted. In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple. Isaiah 6:1 (NIV ) The Lord Jesus is highly exalted above the earth. Jesus Christ the King is seated on His throne and He reigns in power and righteousness. The whole earth is full of His glory. Like the prophet Isaiah, each one of us will appear before Jesus, one day, and see Him face-to-face. Until that day, let us worship the Lord with all of our hearts and minds. John 15:12-14 (NIV) Jesus gave His life on the cross for us. There is no greater love than to lay down your life for your friends. If you do what Jesus commands, you are His friend.
