A Very Present Help

Image
“I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth!” — Psalms‬ ‭121‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalms 46:1 NKJV) “The LORD himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade. The LORD keeps you from all harm and watches over your life.” (Psalms‬ ‭121‬:‭5, 7‬ ‭NLT‬‬) As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. For who is God, except the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God? (Psalms 18:30-31 NKJV) Trust and rely on Yahweh with all your heart, at all times.

He Welcomes You

Image
“When the apostles returned, they told Jesus everything they had done. Then he slipped quietly away with them toward the town of Bethsaida. But the crowds found out where he was going, and they followed him. He welcomed them and taught them about the Kingdom of God, and he healed those who were sick.” — Luke 9:10-11 (NLT) “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8 NLT) He still brings healing and wholeness to those who are sick. And He still welcomes ALL who choose to follow Him. In Luke 9:23 (NLT), Jesus said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.” May we give up our own ways, and follow Yeshua every day. He will empower us to walk in the ways of the Kingdom of God.

Armed with Strength

Image
“ I love you, LORD; you are my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. ” — Psalms 18:1-2 (NLT) “…in my distress I cried out to the LORD; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears.” (Psalms 18:6 NLT) “He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemies, from those who hated me and were too strong for me. They attacked me at a moment when I was in distress, but the LORD supported me.” (Psalms 18:16-18 NLT) “God’s way is perfect. All the LORD’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For who is God except the LORD? Who but our God is a solid rock? God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights.” (Psalms 18:30-33 NLT) Let us ...

He Will Answer

Image
“ I am praying to you because I know you will answer, O God. Bend down and listen as I pray. Show me your unfailing love in wonderful ways. By your mighty power you rescue those who seek refuge from their enemies. ” — Psalms 17:6-7 (NLT) Give ear, O Yahweh, to my prayer; And give heed to the voice of my supplications! In the day of my distress I shall call upon You, for You will answer me. (Psalms 86:6-7 LSB) For your unfailing love is higher than the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May your glory shine over all the earth. (Psalms 108:4-5 NLT) “Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you! I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer. You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy.” (Psalms 63:3-5 NLT)

He Calms the Storm

Image
“ LORD, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves. What a blessing was that stillness as he brought them safely into harbor! ” — Psalms 107:28-30 (NLT) The LORD has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet. (See Nahum 1:3 NKJV) When you go through stormy times, He is with you and He will guide you through. Yahweh is a place of refuge, and a shelter from the storm. Eventually, the storm will be in your rear view. It will come to pass. Our heavenly Father is faithful to bring you safely into harbor. “Let us praise the LORD for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for us. Let us exalt him publicly before the congregation and before the leaders of the nation.” (See Psalms 107:31-32 NLT)  When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation. — Proverbs 10:25 (NLT)

Keep Silent

Image
Then Rabshakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in Judean, saying, “Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria. Thus says the king, ‘Do not let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to deliver you from his hand; and do not let Hezekiah make you trust in Yahweh, saying, “Yahweh will surely deliver us, and this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.” — 2 Kings 18:28-30 (LSB) But the people kept silent and did not answer him, for the king had commanded, “Do not answer him.” (2 Kings 18:36 AMP) When the enemy throws fiery darts of threats and insults your way, hold your peace. Sometimes, the best approach is to remain silent. Instead of conversing with the enemy, take it to God. Ecclesiastes 3:7 says: there is a time to be silent and a time to speak. Remain silent and listen for the still small voice of the LORD. The Word of God carries more weight than any other voice. In response to the king of Assyria’s threats, Hezekiah sought the LORD in prayer...

Look No Further

Image
John’s two disciples found Jesus and said to him, “John the Baptist sent us to ask, ‘Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?’” — Luke 7:20 (NLT) We need look no further than Yeshua. In John 14:6 (AMP), Yeshua said: “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” In Matthew 16:16, Simon Peter said to Him: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 16:17 NKJV) In John 1:41 (NLT), Andrew went to find his brother, Simon, and told him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means “Christ”). May we tell all who come our way: Yeshua is the Christ, the Anointed One, Savior of the world. Inasmuch then as we [believers] have a great High Priest who has [already ascended and] passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, le...

Call to Him

Image
“Thus says Yahweh who made the earth, Y ahweh who formed it to establish it; Yahweh is His name, ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’” — Jeremiah 33:2-3 (LSB) “Seek the LORD while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the LORD that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.” (Isaiah 55:6-7 NLT) “How kind the LORD is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours!” (Psalms 116:5 NLT) “Let my soul be at rest again, for the LORD has been good to me. He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. And so I walk in the LORD’s presence as I live here on earth!” (Psalms 116:7-9 NLT)

Always Remember

Image
Then they remembered that God was their rock, and the Most High God their Redeemer. — Psalms 78:35 (NKJV) May we always remember that we are children of the Most High God, and He is a faithful, faithful Heavenly Father. All the nations belong to Him. Know therefore today, and take it to your heart, that Yahweh, He is God in heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other. (Deuteronomy 4:39 LSB) For You are Yahweh Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods. (Psalms 97:9 LSB). He is above ALL. He is over every circumstance in your life, over all diseases, and over every event that takes place on the earth. And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. (Romans 8:28 AMP) Let us yield to His will, knowing that the purpose of the LORD will prevail.

He Remains

Image
Lord, You have been our dwelling place [our refuge, our sanctuary, our stability] in all generations. Before the mountains were born or before You had given birth to the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are [the eternal] God. — Psalms 90:1-2 (AMP) “Long ago you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands. They will perish, but you remain forever; they will wear out like old clothing. You will change them like a garment and discard them. But you are always the same; you will live forever.” (Psalms 102:25-27 NLT) The LORD reigns forever! (See Psalms 9:7 NLT) We can always rely on Him to be with us, each and every day. Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. And let all the people say, “Amen.” Praise Yah! (Psalms 106:48 LSB)

Great is His Faithfulness

Image
Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. — Lamentations 3:22-23 (NKJV) “I will sing of the LORD’s unfailing love forever! Young and old will hear of your faithfulness. Your unfailing love will last forever. Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens.” (Psalms 89:1-2 NLT) “Though we experience every kind of pressure, we’re not crushed. At times we don’t know what to do, but quitting is not an option. We are persecuted by others, but God has not forsaken us. We may be knocked down, but not out.” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 TPT) In Psalms 89:33-34 (NKJV) the LORD said: “…My lovingkindness I will not utterly take from him, nor allow My faithfulness to fail. My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.” May we trust in the LORD and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. (See Psalms 37:3 NASB1995)

Faithfully Serve Him

Image
“Don’t be afraid,” Samuel reassured them. “You have certainly done wrong, but make sure now that you worship the LORD with all your heart, and don’t turn your back on him. Don’t go back to worshiping worthless idols that cannot help or rescue you—they are totally useless!” — 1 Samuel 12:20-21 (NLT) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:8-9) As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. (Psalms 103:12 NKJV) Now worship Yahweh with all your heart. “...be sure to fear the LORD and faithfully serve him. Think of all the wonderful things he has done for you.” (1 Samuel 12:24 NLT)

Cling to Your Faith

Image
“Cling  to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked.” — 1 Timothy 1:19 (NLT) No matter how chaotic events become, keep your faith [leaning completely on God with absolute trust and confidence in His guidance]. (See 1 Timothy 1:19 AMP) Ensure that you do not suffer shipwreck in regard to your faith. Keep fighting the good fight. Finish the race, and remain faithful. (See 2 Timothy 4:7 NLT) “For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay. And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.” But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved. (Hebrews 10:37-39 NLT)

Seek First

Image
But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.  — Matthew 6:33 (AMP) The most profitable and advantageous thing we can invest our time, talents and resources in is the Kingdom of God. “And don’t be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don’t worry about such things. These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need. (Luke 12:29-31 NLT)  “Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.” (Matthew 6:19-21 NLT) “Yes, a ...

He Is Willing

Image
“In one of the villages, Jesus met a man with an advanced case of leprosy. When the man saw Jesus, he bowed with his face to the ground, begging to be healed. “Lord,” he said, “if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.” — Luke 5:12 (NLT) This man humbled himself in the presence of the Lord. Let us bow in His Presence with a humble heart. This man also recognized that Yeshua was able to heal Him. He had faith in Yeshua. However, he said “IF” you are are willing. Know today, that our Savior is indeed willing. In Luke 5:13, Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared.” King Yeshua reaches out to touch us too. Be receptive to His touch. He is able to heal us and make us clean. Thank Yeshua for who He is, our Redeemer, Advocate and Healer. May we submit to His ways and trust in His timing.

Follow Yeshua

Image
“When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed Him.” — Luke 5:11 (NASB1995) May we, like the early disciples, leave everything and follow Yeshua. In Luke 9:23-24, He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.” Let us walk closely with Him every day . The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. Yeshua has come that we may have life, and that we may have it more abundantly. (See John 10:10 NKJV)

“Whom Do You seek?”

Image
But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.” — Mark 16:6 (NKJV) When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Yeshua, very early in the morning, on the first day of the week. (See Mark 16:1-2) Whom do you seek? The most beneficial and advantageous activity we can engage in is to wholeheartedly seek Yeshua, the King of kings and the Lord of lords. “Behold! He is The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (See John 1:29) He is indeed the Messiah (which translated means Christ). (See John 1:41). “And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.” (1 John 4:14-15 NKJV) And 1 John 5:4 (AMP) says: …everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world; and this is the victo...

Live in the Light

Image
This is the mess age we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; — 1 John 1:5-6 (NASB1995) The LORD is God, and He has given us light [illuminating us with His grace and freedom and joy]. (Psalms 118:27a AMP) “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of Yahweh has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and dense gloom the peoples; But Yahweh will rise upon you, and His glory will appear upon you. (Isaiah 60:1-2 LSB) Who is among you that fears Yahweh, that listens to the voice of His Servant, that walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of Yahweh and rely on his God. (Isaiah 50:10 LSB) May we continually live in the Light.

Patient Endurance

Image
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.” — Hebrews 12:1-2 (NLT) “Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.” (Hebrews 10:23 NLT) Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. (Hebrews 10:36 NLT)

He Is With You

Image
“Sir,” Gideon replied, “if the LORD is with us, why has all this happened to us? And where are all the miracles our ancestors told us about? Didn’t they say, ‘The LORD brought us up out of Egypt’? But now the LORD has abandoned us and handed us over to the Midianites.” — Judges 6:13 (NLT) The question is not “why?” or “what?” It is “WHO?” No matter how devastating circumstances may appear, remember that Yahweh is with you and He is faithful to bring you through all of your troubles. He Himself has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior…” (See Hebrews 13:5 & Isaiah 43:2-3 NLT) Many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the LORD rescues him from them all....

Pursue Holiness

Image
“Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:” — Hebrews 12:14 (NKJV) The call of God is a higher and holy calling. In Isaiah 55:9, Yahweh says, His ways are higher than our ways. It is a calling to be set apart from the world and its ways and live a life that is pleasing to Yahweh. Hebrews 12:14 (TPT) instructs us to “ run swiftly toward holiness.” For God has not called us to impurity, but to holiness [to be dedicated, and set apart by behavior that pleases Him, whether in public or in private]. (1 Thessalonians 4:7 AMP) Conforming to a life of holiness is not something we can do on our own. It is the work of the Holy Spirit within us. As we truly seek to follow Christ and submit to God’s ways, we will be empowered by His Holy Spirit to do so. “No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man, but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape al...
