Do You Believe?

Image
“Can the dead live again? If so, this would give me hope through all my years of struggle, and I would eagerly await the release of death.” — Job 14:14 (NLT) GOD has decided the length of our lives. He knows how many months we will live, and we are not given a minute longer. (See Job 14:5 NLT) However, we can have hope because we have King Yeshua, the resurrection and the life. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. (See 2 Corinthians 5:6-8) In John 11:25-26 (NKJV) Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died. (...

Created with a Purpose

Image
“You guided my conception and formed me in the womb. You clothed me with skin and flesh, and you knit my bones and sinews together. You gave me life and showed me your unfailing love. My life was preserved by your care.” — Job 10:10-12 (NLT) You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. (Psalms 139:15-16 NLT) Yahweh intentionally created you with a purpose and plan for your life.  Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. (Ephesians 1:4-5) Don’t fall for the distractions the devil brings your way in his attempt to steal, kill and destroy all that God has for yo...

Pray for All

Image
“I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.” — 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NLT) The Word of God instructs us to pray for all people, not to criticize or complain about them. “The Lord does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.” (See 2 Peter 3:9) And the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. (See James 5:16 NLT) First Timothy 3-4 says: “Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.” Grace, mercy, and peace [inner calm and spiritual well-being] from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. (See 1 Timothy 1:2 AMP)

Be Gentle

Image
A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare. — Proverbs 15:1 (NLT)  “Stop being angry! Turn from your rage! Do not lose your temper— it only leads to harm.” (Psalms 37:8 NLT) An angry person starts fights; a hot-tempered person commits all kinds of sin. (Proverbs 29:22 NLT) Don’t befriend angry people or associate with hot-tempered people, or you will learn to be like them and endanger your soul. (Proverbs 22:24-25 NLT) Gentle words are a tree of life…(See Proverbs 15:4) Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness , and patience. (Colossians 3:12) First Timothy 6:11 (NLT) instructs us to pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making al...

Trust God

Image
Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. — 1 Timothy 6:17 (NLT) As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. (Psalm 18:30 NKJV) No matter what we have or who we are, our trust should be in God. Our circumstances are temporary. Yahweh is eternal. Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah (Psalms 62:8 NKJV) The things of this world will eventually pass away. Yahweh is the Everlasting God. …it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all Your works. (Psalms 73:28 NKJV) Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. — Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)

Call Upon His Name

Image
Oh give thanks to Yahweh, call upon His name; Make known His acts among the peoples. — Psalms 105:1 (LSB) And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved. (Acts 2:21 NKJV) For there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile; for the same Lord is Lord over all [of us], and [He is] abounding in riches (blessings) for all who call on Him [in faith and prayer]. “For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD [in prayer] will be saved.” (Romans 10:12-13 AMP) “His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us. For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’ (Acts 17:27-28 NLT) For from Him [all things originate] and through Him [all things live and exist] and to Him are all things [directed]. To Him be glory and honor forever! Amen. (Romans 11:36 AMP)

More than Conquerors

Image
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. — Romans 8:37 (AMP) When evil people come to devour me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident. (Psalms 27:2-3 NLT) Yahweh is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him. (See Psalms 28:7) Proverbs 24:16 (NLT) says, the godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. No matter how many times you stumble and fall, get up again. Keep pressing on and don't draw back. “For with God nothing will be impossible.” (Luke 1:37 NKJV)

Don't be Silent

Image
You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever! — Psalms 30:11-12 (NLT) Let us sing praises to Yahweh and give thanks to Him, in all circumstances. We can show others the goodness of God, for he called us out of the darkness into his wonderful light. (See 1 Peter 2:9 NLT) I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. (Psalms 27:13 NKJV) And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. (Romans 8:28 AMP)

The Battle Belongs to the LORD

Image
He said, “Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat! This is what the LORD says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” — 2 Chronicles 20:15 (NLT) The battles we face belong to Yahweh. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalms 46:1 NKJV) Cast all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]. (See 1 Peter 5:7 AMP) For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12 NLT)

Choose The Right Path

Image
There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death. — Proverbs 14:12 (NLT) Who are those who fear the LORD? He will show them the path they should choose. (Psalms 25:12 NLT) Choose the right path and stick to it. Proverbs 15:21 (NLT) says, a sensible person stays on the right path. The right path leads to life, light, and peace. The path of life leads upward for the wise; they leave the grave behind. (Proverbs 15:24) Those who follow the right path fear the LORD; those who take the wrong path despise him. (Proverbs 14:2) The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” (Psalms 32:8 NLT) “Because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace.” (Luke 1:78-79 NLT) Jesus said... “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

How Much Longer?

Image
Then Elijah stood in front of them and said, “How much longer will you waver, hobbling between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!” But the people were completely silent. — 1 Kings 18:21 (NLT) Don’t hesitate. Decide today to closely follow Yahweh and His Son, Yeshua the Christ. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:23 NKJV) Trust in the LORD without wavering. Be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. (See James 1:6 NLT) Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. (Romans 4:20 NLT) May your faith in God, our Savior grow stronger and stronger. “I have followed your commands, which keep me from following cruel and evil people. My steps have stayed on your path; I have not wavere...

The Sun of Righteousness

Image
The LORD of Heaven’s Armies says, “The day of judgment is coming, burning like a furnace. On that day the arrogant and the wicked will be burned up like straw. They will be consumed—roots, branches, and all. But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.” — Malachi 4:1-2 (NLT) For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6 NKJV) Surely He has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:4-5 NKJV)  ...and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and...

Choose Joy!

Image
And Nehemiah continued, “Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the LORD is your strength!” — Nehemiah 8:10 (NLT) When are we to be full of joy? First Thessalonians 5:16 (NLT)  tells us to ALWAYS be joyful. Consider every day God gives you as a sacred day to celebrate. It is a gift from above, coming down from the Father of lights. James 1:2-3 (NASB1995) says: Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.  So, do not be grieved, for the joy of Yahweh is your strength. He will turn your mourning into joyful dancing. He will take away your clothes of mourning and clothe you with joy, that you might sing praises to Him and not be silent. O LORD my God, let us give thanks to You forever! (See Psalms 30:11-12 NLT)

Glory in This

Image
Thus says the LORD: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might,
nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the LORD.” — Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NKJV) May we seek to truly know and understand Yahweh. Acknowledge and honor Him as the Sovereign God, the all-powerful Creator of the universe. Nothing or no one can compare with the LORD. And He does not change (See Malachi 3:6). He still delights in showing lovingkindness, judgment and righteousness in the earth. The LORD has loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness He has drawn you. (See Jeremiah 31:3) He redeems your life from destruction, and crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies. (See Psalms 103:4 NKJV) ...each day the LORD pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each ni...

Boast in The NAME

Image
Some boast in chariots and some in horses, but we will boast in the name of Yahweh, our God. — Psalms 20:7 (LSB) The name of Yahweh is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is set securely on high. (Proverbs 18:10 LSB) Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the LORD.” (1 Corinthians 1:31 NLT) And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, for You, O Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek You. (Psalms 9:10 LSB) Let them praise the name of Yahweh, for His name alone is set on high; His splendor is above earth and heaven. (Psalms 148:13 LSB) Oh give thanks to Yahweh, call upon His name; Make known His acts among the peoples. Boast in His holy name; Let the heart of those who seek Yahweh be glad. Inquire of Yahweh and His strength; Seek His face continually. (Psalms 105:1, 3-4 LSB) May Yahweh answer you in the day of distress! May the name of the God of Jacob set you securely on high! (Psalms 20:1 LSB)

Delivered & Set Free

Image
“I have discovered this principle of life—that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. I love God’s law with all my heart. But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me.” — Romans 7:21-23 (NLT) In order to win the war in our minds, we must feed the spirit man instead of the flesh. The one we feed the most grows stronger. Instead of fulfilling the desires of our flesh, let us renew our minds with the Word of God. …let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. (See Romans 12:2 NLT) And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (Galatians 5:24-25 NKJV) “ Who will [rescue me and] set me free from this body of death [this corrupt, mortal existence]? Thanks be to God [for my delive...

Every Word

Image
“Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.” — Proverbs 30:5 (NLT) The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever. (Isaiah 40:8 NKJV) This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (Joshua 1:8 NKJV) May we meditate on the Word day and night and observe what it says. Then we will make our way prosperous and then we will have good success. The Word of God is our only offensive weapon against the enemy. It is the sword of the Spirit. (See Ephesians 6:17) In Matthew, Chapter 4, when Yeshua was in the desert, being tempted by the devil, He spoke the Word, and the devil left Him. Speak “ It is written… ”

Come Back

Image
Come back to the place of safety, all you prisoners who still have hope! I promise this very day that I will repay two blessings for each of your troubles. — Zechariah 9:12 (NLT) If you have strayed away from ABBA Father come back home. Take refuge in Him. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD. (Jeremiah 17:7 NKJV) I love you, LORD; you are my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. (Psalms 18:1-2 NLT)  But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress. O my Strength, to you I sing praises, for you, O God, are my refuge, the God who shows me unfailing love. (Psalms 59:16-17 NLT)

Remember Our Maker

Image
The rich and the poor have this in common, the LORD is the maker of them all. — Proverbs 22:2 (NKJV) “I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid of a man who will die, and of the son of a man who will be made like grass? And you forget the LORD your Maker, Who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth…” (See Isaiah 51:12-13 NKJV) May we never forget our Maker. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. (Psalms 95:6 NKJV) Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. (Psalms 100:4) Bless and affectionately praise the LORD, O my soul, and all that is [deep] within me, bless His holy name. (Psalms 103:1AMP) All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to Yahweh, and all the families of the nations will worship before You. For the kingdom is Yahweh’s and He rules over the nations. — Psalms 22:27-28 (LSB)

By His Spirit

Image
Then he said to me, “This is what the LORD says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.” — Zechariah 4:6 (NLT) This is what the LORD says: “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the LORD.” (Jeremiah 17:5 NLT) Put no confidence in human strength, instead, be led by the Holy Spirit of GOD, Who dwells within you. Rely on Him to do all that He has called you to do. …if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” (See Romans 8:13-15 NLT) “O Sovereign LORD! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you! ” — Jeremiah 32:17 ...

Seek His Will

Image
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” — Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) The LORD is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way. (Psalms 25:8-9 NLT) He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. (Psalms 23:3 NLT) Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. (Psalms 25:4-5 NLT) May our steps stay on His path; Let us not waver from following Yahweh. (See Psalms 17:5)

“Yet I will Rejoice”

Image
“Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!” — Habakkuk 3:17-18 (NLT) No matter what the doctor’s report says, or what the balance is on the bank statement, continue to rejoice in Yahweh. He is our Healer, our Redeemer and our Provider. No matter how dismal the current circumstances may be, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. I trust in His unfailing love. I will rejoice because He has rescued me. (See Psalms 13:5 NLT) Finally, my fellow believers, continue to rejoice and delight in the LORD. To write the same things again is no trouble for me, and it is a safeguard for you. Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, take pleasure in Him]; again I will say, rejoice! (Philippians 3:1 & 4:4 AMP)

Never Waver

Image
“Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.” — Romans 4:20-21 (NLT) “Look at the proud one, his soul is not right within him, but the righteous will live by his faith [in the true God].” (Habakkuk 2:4 AMP) May we never waver in believing in the One and only true and living GOD. And let us be fully convinced that Yahweh is able and faithful to fulfill every promise He has made. Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: “For yet a little while, and He who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul. (Hebrews 10:35-39 NKJV) L...

Rise Again!

Image
“As for me, I look to the LORD for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me. Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light.” — Micah 7:7-8 (NLT) “Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there.” (Psalms 146:3 NLT) Look to Yahweh for help. “…joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the LORD their God.” (Psalms 146:5 NLT) For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, but the wicked stumble in time of disaster and collapse. (Proverbs 24:16 AMP) The LORD is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him. (Nahum 1:7 NLT) “The LORD is slow to get angry, but his power is great, and he never lets the guilty go unpunished. He displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm. The billowing clouds are the dust beneath his feet.” (Nahum 1:3 NLT) “What then shall we say to t...

The Source of Peace

Image
“And he will stand to lead his flock with the LORD’s strength, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God. Then his people will live there undisturbed, for he will be highly honored around the world. And he will be the source of peace...” — Micah 5:4-5 (NLT) For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given…And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (See Isaiah 9:6 NKJV) King Yeshua is the Prince of Peace. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 NLT) May His perfect peace rule in your heart and in your mind.

Live to Please GOD

Image
Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You live this way already, and we encourage you to do so even more. — 1 Thessalonians 4:1 (NLT) For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts. (1 Thessalonians 2:4 NLT) Realize that it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure. (See Philippians 2:13 AMP) With God all things are possible. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God. (See 1 Peter 5:6) For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. If you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please G...

No Escape

Image
“But Jonah got up and went in the opposite direction to get away from the LORD. He went down to the port of Joppa, where he found a ship leaving for Tarshish. He bought a ticket and went on board, hoping to escape from the LORD by sailing to Tarshish.” — Jonah 1:3 (NLT) We can run but we can never hide from Yahweh. Psalms 139:7 (NLT) says: “I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence!” In addition: You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail. (Proverbs 19:21 NLT) Jonah planned to go to Tarshish, but instead God orchestrated a series of events and Jonah 3:3 says: “This time Jonah obeyed the LORD’s command and went to Nineveh…” We can be obedient and take the direct route, or we can go around the mountain forty times until our hearts are right and then fulfill the plans the LORD has for us. When all is said and done, know that His plans are good. Yahweh is a merciful and compassionate God, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love....

Fix Your Gaze

Image
Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world. — 1 Peter 4:12-13 (NLT) No matter what the current set of circumstances may be, we can continue to rejoice. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18 NKJV) For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. (2 Corinthians 4:17-18 NLT) And remember, our Heavenly Father is faithful to deliver the rig...

The Valley of Decision

Image
Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. — Joel 3:14 (NKJV)  Deuteronomy 30:19-20 says: “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;  that you may love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days…” Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God. And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. (Romans 13:11-12 NKJV)

Examine Your Heart

Image
People may be right in their own eyes, but the LORD examines their heart.  — Proverbs 21:2 (NLT) “The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? But I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.” (Jeremiah 17:9-10 NLT) We may be able to fool people, but we can never fool our Heavenly Father. “The LORD’s light penetrates the human spirit, exposing every hidden motive.” (Proverbs 20:27) He examines our hearts and knows everything about us. (See Psalms 139:1) How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults. (Psalms 19:12) Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. (Psalms 51:10) And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkle...

The Word on Work

Image
“Work brings profit, but mere talk leads to poverty!” — Proverbs 14:23 (NLT) “Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper.” (Proverbs 13:4 NLT) “Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time.” (Proverbs 13:11 NLT) Even while we were with you, we gave you this command: “Those unwilling to work will not get to eat.” (2 Thessalonians 3:10 NLT) “Make it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we instructed you before.” (1 Thessalonians 4:11 NLT) “Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.” (Colossians 3:23 NLT) “So I saw that there is nothing better for people than to be happy in their work. That is our lot in life… (See Ecclesiastes 3:22 NLT)

Always Depend on GOD

“I have been the LORD your God ever since I brought you out of Egypt. You must acknowledge no God but me, for there is no other savior.” — Hosea 13:4 (NLT) Just as Yahweh delivered the Israelites out of the land of their affliction, He is the God Who brought you out of the troubles and trials you have experienced. the LORD God of Heaven’s Armies, the LORD is his name! So now, come back to your God. Act with love and justice, and always depend on him. (Hosea 12:5-6) Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. The LORD is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. (Lamentations 3:25 NLT) “Let those who are wise understand these things. Let those with discernment listen carefully. The paths of the LORD are true and right, and righteous people live by walking in them. But in those paths sinners stumble and fall.” — Hosea 14:9 (NLT)

Press On

Image
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.” — Hosea 4:6 (NKJV) The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. (See John 10:10a AMP) In Hosea 4:6 (NLT), the LORD said, His people are being destroyed because they don’t know Him. “So let us know and become personally acquainted with Him; let us press on to know and understand fully the [greatness of the] LORD [to honor, heed, and deeply cherish Him]. His appearing is prepared and is as certain as the dawn, and He will come to us [in salvation] like the [heavy] rain, like the spring rain watering the earth.” (Hosea 6:3 AMP) “I said, ‘Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of love. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the LORD, that he may come and shower righteousness upon you.’” — Hosea 10:12 (N...

God of Restoration

Image
Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives. Give us gladness in proportion to our former misery! Replace the evil years with good. — Psalms 90:14-15 (NLT) Yahweh is a God of restoration. He refreshes and restores my soul (life); He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. (Psalms 23:3 AMP) He will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust… You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And His people shall never be put to shame. (See Joel 2:25-26 NKJV) In Hosea 2:15, the LORD says He will transform the Valley of Trouble into a gateway of hope. He will turn our mourning into joyful dancing. He will take away our clothes of mourning and clothe us with joy, that we might sing praises to Him and not be silent. O LORD our God, we will give you thanks forever! ...

Love & Serve The LORD

Image
Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The LORD our God is the one and only LORD. And you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.” — Mark 12:29-31 (NLT) Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. (1 John 2:15-17 NLT) Choose for yourselves today whom you will serve. (See Joshua 24:15)

Wisdom Calls

Image
Wisdom shouts in the streets. She cries out in the public square. She calls to the crowds along the main street, to those gathered in front of the city gate: — Proverbs 1:20-21 (NLT) Let us open our ears and hear the call of wisdom. She says: “Come and listen to my counsel. I’ll share my heart with you and make you wise. I called you so often, but you wouldn’t come. I reached out to you, but you paid no attention. You ignored my advice and rejected the correction I offered.” (Proverbs 1:23-25) Those who reject her advice and pay no attention to correction must eat the bitter fruit of living their own way, choking on their own schemes. But all who listen to wisdom will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm. (See Proverbs 1:30-31, 33 NLT)

Our Banner

Image
He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love. — Song of Solomon 2:4 (NKJV) In Exodus 17:15 (NLT), Moses built an altar there and named it Yahweh-Nissi (which means “the LORD is my banner”). His banner over us is one of love and victory. God gives us victory over the world, our flesh and the devil. Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. (2 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV) You have set up a banner for those who fear You [with awe-inspired reverence and submissive wonder—a banner to shield them from attack], a banner that may be displayed because of the truth. Selah. (Psalms 60:4 AMP)  His banner over us is a banner of deliverance and salvation. In that day the heir to David’s throne will be a banner of salvation to all the world. The nations will rally to him, and the land where he lives will be a glorious place. (Isaiah 11:10 NLT)

His Home

Image
“I will make my home among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people.” — Ezekiel 37:27 (NLT) Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16 NKJV) The dwelling place of Yahweh is with us, believers in King Yeshua. Open the door of your heart to receive Him today. Willingly give Him access to your whole heart. In Hebrews 13:5, He says, He will never leave us or forsake us. In Isaiah 43:1-2 (NLT) He says: “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” — 2 Co...

Be of Good Cheer

Image
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” — John 16:33 (NKJV) A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength. (Proverbs 17:22 NLT) Be of good cheer. In our Lord and Savior, Yeshua, we can have perfect peace and fullness of joy. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalms 46:1 NKJV) Unless the LORD had helped me, I would soon have settled in the silence of the grave. I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O LORD, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. (Psalms 94:17-19 NLT) “You have allowed me to suffer much hardship, but you will restore me to life again and lift me up from the depths of the earth.” — Psalms 71:20 (NLT)

Praise Him!

Image
“I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever. I will praise you every day; yes, I will praise you forever. Great is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness.” — Psalms 145:1-3 (NLT) “The LORD is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. The LORD is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation. All of your works will thank you, LORD, and your faithful followers will praise you.” (Psalms 145:8-10 NLT) Yahweh is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. (Psalms 145:18 LSB) May we be faithful followers of our mighty GOD, an d His Son, King Yeshua.  He is the way, the truth, and the life. (See John 14:6)  I will praise the LORD, and may everyone on earth bless his holy name forever and ever. — Psalms 145:21 (NLT)

Our Weapons

Image
The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ, — 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (AMP) May we renew our minds with the Word of God and cast down every argument and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. Our weapon is the Word of God. (See Ephesians 6:17) ...Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God [for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier], so that you may be able to successfully] stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in...

How Kind!

Image
“How kind the LORD is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours! The LORD protects those of childlike faith; I was facing death, and he saved me. Let my soul be at rest again, for the LORD has been good to me. He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. And so I walk in the LORD’s presence as I live here on earth!” — Psalms 116:5-9 (NLT) “What can I offer the LORD for all he has done for me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and praise the LORD’s name for saving me.” (Psalms 116:12-13) “All you who fear the LORD, trust the LORD! He is your helper and your shield.” (Psalms 115:11) It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in people. (Psalms 118:8) For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” (See Hebrews 13:5) “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.” (Psalms 118:29 NLT)

“Not My Will”

Image
And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” — Luke 22:41-42 (NKJV) No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. (1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV) Keep watching and praying that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. (Mark 14:38 NKJV) Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. (James 1:12 NKJV)

Strength & Peace

Image
“Yahweh will give strength to His people; Yahweh will bless His people with peace.” — Psalms 29:11 (LSB) Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, Yahweh, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not become weary or tired. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:28-31 LSB/NLT) Find new strength today. Yahweh will keep the peace, a perfect peace, for all who trust in Him, for those who dedicate their hearts and minds to Him. Trust in the LORD forever, for in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength. (See Isaiah 26:3 VOICE/NKJV)

It Never Ends!

Image
The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The LORD is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” — Lamentations 3:22-24 (NLT) …I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. (Proverbs 29:23 NKJV) And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. (Matthew 23:12 NKJV) …“God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. (See 1 Peter 5:5-7 NKJV) “Praise his name with dancing, accompanied by tambourine and harp. For the LORD delights in his people; he crowns the humble wit...

(Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT) “Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow.”  — Psalms 25:4 (NLT)

(Psalms 128:1-2 AMP)  Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along th...
