Love the LORD & Live!

Today I offer you life and prosperity or death and destruction. This is what I’m commanding you today: Love the Lord your God, follow his directions, and obey his commands, laws, and rules. Then you will live, your population will increase, and the Lord your God will bless you...
Deuteronomy 30:15-16 (GW)

Those who love the LORD and follow Him, will live life to the fullest. The choice is ours and in case anyone is confused, God gives us a hint. In Deuteronomy 30:19, God says, "choose life." The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. Jesus said, His purpose is to give us a rich and satisfying life (John 10:10, NLT). Choose life. Choose love. Choose the LORD!

For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel. — Ezra 7:10 (NKJV) May we prepare our hearts and set our minds to diligently read and study the Word of God. Then, apply it to our daily lives by actually doing what it says. Great peace have those who love the law of the LORD, and nothing causes them to stumble. (See Psalms 119:165 NKJV) As pressure and stress bear down on you, find joy in His commands. (See Psalms 119:143 NLT) Psalms 78:8 (NKJV) says, its a stubborn and rebellious generation, that did not set its heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” Our joy is not to be based on the fluctuating circumstances of our lives. We experience fullness of joy in the Presence of Yahweh and He is always with us. No matter what season of life you are going through, have continual and contagious joy. Let your joy overflow and spill out onto those around you.
