Grateful Recognition
But if one loves God truly [with affectionate reverence, prompt obedience, and grateful recognition of His blessing], he is known by God [recognized as worthy of His intimacy and love, and he is owned by Him]. —1 Corinthians 8:3 (AMP)
Gratefulness goes beyond perfection. We are to have a grateful heart even when circumstances are not perfect. Gratitude is an attitude of the heart that is able to recognize the good in every situation. Even though you didn’t get the promotion, you can be grateful to still have a job. Being grateful is simply a choice we make to either complain about what we don’t have or be grateful for what we do have.
