Look to the LORD!
Unto You I lift up my eyes, O You who dwell in the heavens. Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, until He has mercy on us. —Psalm 123:1-2 (NKJV)
The devil wants us to take our eyes off of God. Either he tries to get us focused on our selves and the desires of our flesh, or he tries to distract us with things of this world. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), our wonderful Savior, the King of kings and the Lord of lords! Every day we receive new mercies, and God gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57). Amen!
