Walk, Work & Watch

“…Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”Matthew 11:29-30 (MSG)

When Jesus invites us to come to Him and put His yoke on, it's an invitation to be connected to Him. When two oxen are yoked together, they work side by side. Jesus wants us to walk and work alongside of Him. He wants us to watch how He lives and learn from Him, for He is gentle and humble in heart. (Matthew 11:30 NIV). He says, when we keep company with him, we will learn to live freely (not in bondage), and lightly, not worried and under the weight of heavy burdens.
