What Great Love
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. —1 John 3:1 (NIV)
The Amplified Bible says, “See what an incredible quality of love the Father has shown to us, that we would [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God!” (1 John 3:1a ) I’m so thankful for this great, incredible love that the Father continually lavishes on us. What an honor and privilege to be called a child of God. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. (Ephesians 1:4 NLT)
For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39 AMP)
