Greater Joy
Many people say, “Who will show us better times?” Let your face smile on us, LORD. You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine. —Psalm 4:6-7 (NLT)
We experience the best of times in the presence of the LORD. There is no greater joy than to delight ourselves in the presence of the Most High God. He is Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). He is the God of more than enough. The Message Bible says, “I have God’s more-than-enough, more joy in one ordinary day than they get in all their shopping sprees.” (Psalm 4:7)
Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous ones; and shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart. (Psalm 32:11 NASB)
