Never Shaken

When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation. —Proverbs 10:25 (NKJV)

We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 NLT) In Jesus, we have an everlasting foundation. Storms may come and go, but we have a firm foundation that lasts forever.

Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem, a firm and tested stone. It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on. Whoever believes need never be shaken. —Isaiah 28:16 (NLT)

Then, apply it to our daily lives by actually doing what it says. Great peace have those who love the law of the LORD, and nothing causes them to stumble. (See Psalms 119:143 NLT) Psalms 78:8 (NKJV) says, its a stubborn and rebellious generation, that did not set its heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” Our joy is not to be based on the fluctuating circumstances of our lives. We experience fullness of joy in the Presence of Yahweh and He is always with us. No matter what season of life you are going through, have continual and contagious joy. Let your joy overflow and spill out onto those around you.
