No Turning Back
No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. —Philippians 3:13-14 (NLT)
Leave the old life behind and reach forward to those things which are ahead. God is calling us to a higher place, a deeper place, in Him. Remember Lot’s wife. She looked back, when being rescued, and became a pillar of salt. (See Genesis 19:17&26) Nothing good comes out of trying to hold onto something God has called us out of. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. (Psalm 103:12 NASB1995) The mercies of the LORD begin afresh each morning. (See Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT) Press on toward the goal. No turning back.
“Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.” —Isaiah 43:29 (NASB1995)
