Be Firmly Rooted
Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. —Colossians 2:6-7 (NASB1995)
May we walk in union with Christ, our Savior, always reflecting His character in the things we do and say, and living lives that lead others away from sin. (See Colossians 2:6 AMP) Let the seed of the Holy Scriptures fall on the good soil of your heart, and you will be deeply rooted, and continually built up in Him. Those who hear and accept God’s word produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted! (See Mark 4:20 NLT)
How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers. —Psalm 1:1-3 (NASB1995)
