Change Your Clothes

So Jacob said to his household and to all who were with him, "Get rid of the foreign gods you have with you, purify yourselves and change your clothes. Then come, let us go up to Bethel, where I will build an altar to God, who answered me in the day of my distress and who has been with me wherever I have gone."
Genesis 35:2-3 (NIV)

Jacob instructed his family to change clothes as part of their preparation to worship God. Similarly, the Apostle Paul instructs believers to take off the old self with its evil practices and clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience (Colossians 3:12). Let us clothe ourselves as children of the light and worship our heavenly Father.

Love,
Jackie
