Come & Eat
Jesus said to them, “Come and eat breakfast.” Yet none of the disciples dared ask Him, “Who are You?”—knowing that it was the Lord. Jesus then came and took the bread and gave it to them, and likewise the fish. —John 21:12-13 (NKJV)
This is now the third time Jesus showed Himself to His disciples after He was raised from the dead (John 21:14 NKJV). This interaction Jesus has with His disciples really shows His heart for the sheep and His desire to fellowship with us. It exemplifies the concern and compassion He has for each and every one of us. Jesus cares about you and He wants to spend time with you. Revelation 3:20 says, He stands at the door and continually knocks. If you hear His voice and open the door, He will come in to you and dine with you and you with Him. Open the door of your heart and dwell among those who know Him.
Jesus is the bread of life (John 6:48). If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever (John 6:51). Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! (Psalm 34:8)
