He Sees You
Thereafter, Hagar used another name to refer to the LORD, who had spoken to her. She said, “You are the God who sees me.” She also said, “Have I truly seen the One who sees me?” —Genesis 16:13 (NLT)
Our heavenly Father sees us. We can take comfort in the fact that His eye is upon us. The Amplified Bible says, He sees us with understanding and compassion (Genesis 16:13). The LORD watches over us because He cares for us. He guides us and strengthens us as we go. Thank God that He never leaves our side.
O LORD, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, LORD. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head.
If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me.
How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me! (Psalm 139:1-5, 9-10, 17-18 NLT)
