A Joyful Mind
A happy heart is good medicine and a joyful mind causes healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones. —Proverbs 17:22 (AMP)
Proverbs 17:22 (MSG) says: gloom and doom leave you bone-tired. Instead of listening to the dismal details of daily world events, bring healing to your mind by keeping it stayed on the LORD and the glorious destiny He has for you. (See Isaiah 26:3) Keep your mind joyful by remembering all the good things the LORD has done for you. He woke us up this morning and gave us fresh new mercies. He forgives all our sins, and heals all our diseases; He redeems our lives from the pit, and crowns us lavishly with lovingkindness and tender mercy. (See Psalm 103:3-4 AMP) Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous; and shout for joy, all you upright in heart! (Psalm 32:11 NKJV) “Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” (See Nehemiah 8:10 NKJV) Let us serve the LORD our God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything.
The humble also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. —Isaiah 29:19 (NKJV)
