Walk in Truth & Freedom
Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” —John 8:31-32 (NLT)
As believers, we have been given a Helper, the Spirit of truth, that He may abide with us forever. (See John 14:16-17) In John 16:13 (NKJV), Yeshua said: “the Spirit of truth will guide you into all truth…” Let us eagerly seek to know the truth (the Word of God) and stand on it. When we know the truth, we will not fall for the lies of the enemy. Nor will we conform or compromise with the ways of this world. Let us habitually walk with, and be led by the Holy Spirit. Seek Him and be responsive to His guidance, and then we will certainly not carry out the desire of the sinful nature (See Galatians 5:16 AMP/NASB) Let us continually bear the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (See Galatians 5:22-23)
If we [claim to] live by the [Holy] Spirit, we must also walk by the Spirit [with personal integrity, godly character, and moral courage—our conduct empowered by the Holy Spirit]. We must not become conceited, challenging or provoking one another, envying one another. —Galatians 5:25-26 (AMP)
