GOD of Restoration
You have allowed me to suffer much hardship, but you will restore me to life again and lift me up from the depths of the earth. You will restore me to even greater honor and comfort me once again. —Psalm 71:20-21 (NLT)
Job lost all his children, his possessions, and experienced pain and suffering in his physical body, yet he continued to worship YAHWEH. In all of this he did not sin by blaming God. (See Job 1:22) In Job 42:10, the LORD restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. (AMP)
In Joel 2:25 (NKJV) the LORD says: “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust... He gives His people beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. (See Isaiah 61:3 NKJV) Psalm 23:3 (NASB1995) says, He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Let us endure hardship, and remain faithful to YAHWEH. Fight the good fight of faith, and persevere to the end.
