Cry Out

Image
And two blind men sitting by the road, hearing that Jesus was passing by, cried out, “Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!” The crowd sternly told them to be quiet, but they cried out all the more, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!” — Matthew 20:30-31 (NASB1995) Do not let the crowd stop you from calling on our great and awesome God. Instead of being silent, cry out all the more. When the righteous cry [for help], the LORD hears and rescues them from all their distress and troubles. (Psalm 24:17 AMP) In Matthew 20:33-34, the blind men said to Jesus “Lord, we want our eyes to be opened.” Moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes; and immediately they regained their sight and followed Him. The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. (Psalm 103:8 NASB1995) Hallelujah! And the appropriate response to His generosity and goodness is to follow Him. Amen.

By His Spirit

Image
Then he said to me, “This is what the LORD says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.” — Zechariah 4:6 (NLT) Do not fear or be dismayed, for the LORD our God is with us to help us. The battle belongs to God. He is the King of glory, strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. (See Psalm 24:8)  And victory belongs to the LORD. Amen. Thus says the LORD, “Cursed is the man who trusts in and relies on mankind, making [weak, faulty human] flesh his strength, and whose mind and heart turn away from the LORD.” — Jeremiah 17:5 (AMP)

He is a Rewarder

Image
And He said to them, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children for the sake of the kingdom of God, who will not receive many times as much at this time, and in the age to come, eternal life.” — Luke 18:29-30 (NASB) Count everything as a loss compared to the priceless privilege and supreme advantage of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord [and of growing more deeply and thoroughly acquainted with Him—a joy unequaled]. Lose everything, for His sake, and consider it all garbage, so that you may gain Christ. (See Philippians 3:8 AMP) First and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also. (See Matthew 6:33 AMP) Believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. (See Hebrews 11:6 NLT) Amen.

Call on the LORD

Image
“Call on Me in the day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you shall honor and glorify Me.” — Psalm 50:15 (AMP) Before calling on human help or seeking assistance through social media outlets, let us call on Yahweh. His ear is always open to hear our cries. In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God for help; He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry for help before Him came into His ears. (Psalm 18:6 NASB1995) Call on Him because He cares for you and He is faithful to answer. On the day I called, You answered me; And You made me bold and confident with [renewed] strength in my life.  — Psalm 138:3 (AMP)

Lift Up Your Eyes

Image
I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. — Psalm 121:1-2 (NASB1995) Bow down with a humble heart before Yahweh, and lift up your eyes to Him. The LORD is for us among those who help us; Therefore we will look with satisfaction on those who hate us. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes. (See Psalm 118:7-9) Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but he who trusts in the LORD, lovingkindness shall surround him. (Psalm 32:10 NASB1995) Trust in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever. (See Psalm 52:8) How blessed is the man who has made the LORD his trust, and has not turned to the proud, nor to those who lapse into falsehood. (Psalm 40:4 NASB1995)

Return Home

Image
So he got up and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. — Luke 15:20 (NASB1995) When the son who had went off and squandered his estate with loose living, had spent everything, a severe famine occurred and he began to be impoverished. When he came to his senses, he decided to return home. (See Luke 15:13-14,17-19) If you have strayed away from our heavenly Father, don’t wait for hunger and lack to come upon you. Return home. Just as a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him. (Psalm 103:13) He draws us to Him with lovingkindness. The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. (Psalm 103:8) He redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; (Psalm 103:4)

Not Forgotten

Image
Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? Yet not one of them has [ever] been forgotten in the presence of God. Indeed the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not be afraid; you are far more valuable than many sparrows. — Luke 12:6-7 (AMP) If Yahweh remembers the sparrows, surely He is mindful of us. He formed our innermost parts and knit us together in our mother’s womb. Our frames were not hidden from Him, when we were made in secret. (See Psalm 139:13,15) He took us from our mother’s womb and has sustained us from birth. May we praise Him continually. (See Psalm 71:6) He determined our appointed times and the boundaries of our habitation. From everlasting to everlasting, He is God, and He is intimately acquainted with all your ways.

Be Devoted

Image
She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word. But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me.” — Luke 10:39-40 NASB1995) This world offers many things that will distract us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith. (See Hebrews 12:2) Martha was worried and bothered about so many things, but Jesus told her: “...only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” Don’t let your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. (See 2 Corinthians 11:3 NASB1995)

The Door

Image
I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly. — John 10:9-10 (NASB) Doors give us access to whatever is on the other side. Doors also serve the purpose of keeping undesirable things out, such as inclement weather, or intruders and thieves. I have also seen instructions that in the event of earthquakes, the threshold of the door was a strong, safe place to stand. Ephesians 2:18 (NASB) says, through Jesus we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. May we enter the Kingdom of God through our Savior, the Christ. There we find the provision of our heavenly Father, everything we need to survive and thrive. Let us enter and draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (See Hebrews 4:16 NASB1995)

Don't be Surprised

Image
Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though something strange were happening to you; — 1 Peter 4:12 (NASB) In John 16:33 (NLT), Jesus told His disciples: “Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” In Him, we may have a perfect, inner peace, that is not shaken by external circumstances. We can choose to believe the Word of God or we can let the lies of the enemy fill us with fear and anxiety. “Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]” (John 14:27 AMP)

Endure to the End

Image
Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. — Hebrews 10:35-36 (NASB) Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. (Galatians 6:9 NASB1995) Our Heavenly Father is faithful to fulfill every promise He has spoken. Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus… let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:19,22 NASB1995) …we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul. (See Hebrews 10:39)

He Intercedes for Us

Image
Who is the one who condemns us? Christ Jesus is the One who died [to pay our penalty], and more than that, who was raised [from the dead], and who is at the right hand of God interceding [with the Father] for us. — Romans 8:34 (AMP) Satan is an accuser of the brethren. Revelation 12:10 (NASB) says, he accuses them before our God day and night. However, we have a mediator. Jesus… because He continues forever, holds His priesthood permanently. Therefore He is also able to save forever those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. (See Hebrews 7:24-25 NASB) Therefore there is now no condemnation at all for those who are in Christ Jesus. (John 8:1 NASB) Hallelujah! Come to Abba Father through our mediator: Jesus the Christ. He is the way, the truth and the life. (See John 14:6) Amen.

Little Faith vs. Great Faith

Image
They began to discuss this among themselves, saying, “He said that because we did not bring any bread.” But Jesus, aware of this, said, “You men of little faith, why are you discussing among yourselves the fact that you have no bread?” — Matthew 16:7-8 (NASB1995) It takes little faith to look at and discuss what we don’t have. Instead of focusing on current external conditions, remember the goodness of Yahweh and His faithfulness to provide for His children. Understand the depth and breadth of the love and compassion the Lord has for us. Jesus asked His disciples: “Do you not yet understand nor remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets you picked up? Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many large baskets you picked up?” (Matthew 16:9-10 NASB1995) Recall the good things our great God has already done. May we be people of great faith, like the centurion (Roman officer), in Matthew 8:7-9. When Jesus said He would go and heal his servant, the centur...

What is In Your Heart?

Image
And He said to them, “Rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far away from Me. But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.’ Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men.” — Mark 7:6-8 (NASB1995) Don't just go through the motions of serving Yahweh, truly seek to know Him, and serve Him wholeheartedly and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. May we follow His Word and not the tradition of men. Call upon Him and come and pray to Him, and He will listen to you. Seek Him and you will find Him when you search for Him with all your heart. (See Jeremiah 29:12-13)

Come to Know Him

Image
May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. — 2 Peter 1:2-3 (NLT) Yahweh has graciously and freely given to us everything that pertains to life and godliness. The Scripture says, we receive all of this by coming to know Him, the one true and living God. He calls us to Himself. Come, to know Him. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable us to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. (See 2 Peter 1:4) May we grow [spiritually mature] in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory (honor, majesty, splendor), both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. (See 2 Peter 3:...

No Looking Back

Image
Another also said, “I will follow You, Lord; but first permit me to say good-bye to those at home.” But Jesus said to him, “No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” — Luke 9:61-62 (NASB1995) In Philippians 3:13-14 (VOICE), the Apostle Paul said: Brothers and sisters, as I said, I know I have not arrived; but there’s one thing I am doing: I’m leaving my old life behind, putting everything on the line for this mission. I am sprinting toward the only goal that counts: to cross the line, to win the prize, and to hear God’s call to resurrection life found exclusively in Jesus the Anointed. Follow Yeshua. No looking back. Forget what lies behind and reach forward to what lies ahead. This is what the LORD says, He who makes a way through the sea and a path through the mighty waters… “Do not remember the former things, or ponder the things of the past. Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, now it will spring forth; Will you not be a...

We Overcome

Image
And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death. — Revelation 12:11 (NASB1995) We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 NLT) Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. (Romans 8:37 AMP) Always be willing to share your testimony of what the Lord has done for you and do not love your life more than you love our Lord & Savior. Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ. (See 2 Corinthians 2:14 NASB1995) Amen.

Be Transformed

Image
And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. — Romans 12:2 (AMP) Treasure and store the Word of God in your heart, that you may not sin against Him (See Psalm 119:11 AMP). Instead of copying the ways of this world, draw near to Yahweh and become more and more like Him. Let His Word renew your mind and change the way you think. …anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! (See 2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT)

Where is Your Faith?

Image
They came to Jesus and woke Him up, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” And He got up and rebuked the wind and the surging waves, and they stopped, and it became calm. And He said to them, “Where is your faith?” — Luke 8:24-25a (NASB1995) We all put our faith in something. Some believe in luck or karma. Some believe in political leaders and governments to take care of them. Others orchestrate their lives based on what the world says, who is under the influence of the evil one. This is what the LORD says: “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the LORD.” (Jeremiah 17:5 NLT) Our peace, hope, and victory are in Christ. In John 10:10 (NLT) Jesus says His purpose is to give us a rich and satisfying life. In John 11:25 (NASB1995) Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies. He also said: “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me....

Take Refuge

Image
Your lovingkindness, O LORD, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness reaches to the skies. How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. — Psalm 36:5,7 (NASB1995) Take refuge in Yahweh. He is a safe sanctuary and a place of protection. Hebrews 6:18 (NLT) says: ... we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. Those who abide in the Most High God drink their fill of the abundance of His house; And He gives them to drink of the river of His delights. For with Yahweh is the fountain of life; In His light we see light. (See Psalm 36:8-9) On God my salvation and my glory rest; He is my rock of [unyielding] strength, my refuge is in God. Trust [confidently] in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him. God is a refuge for us. Selah. — Psalm 62:7-8 (NASB1995)

Succeed & Prosper

Image
Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeed and prosper and be in good health [physically], just as [I know] your soul prospers [spiritually]. — 3 John 2 (AMP) Prosperity is a state of well-being, in every area of life: spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, financially, etc. It's having more than enough so that you can share with those in need. That's the cup overflowing in Psalm 23:5. May mercy and peace and love be multiplied to you [filling your heart with the spiritual well-being and serenity experienced by those who walk closely with God]. (Jude 2 AMP) Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. His soul will abide in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land. The secret of the LORD is for those who fear Him, and He will make them know His covenant. (Psalm 25:12-14 NASB1995) Let them shout for joy and rejoice, who favor my vindication; And let them say continually, “The LORD be magnified, Who delights in...

Love the Father

Image
Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. — 1 John 2:15-16 (NLT) We know [for a fact] that we are of God, and the whole world [around us] lies in the power of the evil one [opposing God and His precepts]. (1 John 5:19 AMP)  The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. (1 John 2:17 NASB1995) You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4 NASB1995) Amen.

Hope in Him

Image
Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. For our heart rejoices in Him, because we trust in His holy name. Let Your lovingkindness, O LORD, be upon us, according as we have hoped in You. — Psalm 33:20-22 (NASB1995) Hope in Yahweh and His lovingkindness. Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but he who trusts in the LORD, lovingkindness shall surround him. (Psalm 32:10) For the word of the LORD is upright, and all His work is done in faithfulness. He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the lovingkindness of the LORD. (Psalm 33:4-5) The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of His heart from generation to generation. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance. (Psalm 33:11-12 NASB1995)

How Are You Building?

Image
“Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them, I will show you whom he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock; and when a flood occurred, the torrent burst against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built.” — Luke 6:47-48 (NASB1995) If you want your house to withstand the storm, build wisely by listening to the teaching of Yeshua, and also by following His instruction. The storms are sure to come, so ensure that Yeshua, the solid rock, is your foundation. “But the one who has heard and has not acted accordingly, is like a man who built a house on the ground without any foundation; and the torrent burst against it and immediately it collapsed, and the ruin of that house was great.” (Luke 6:49)  Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “ Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone, a costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. He who believes in it will not be disturbed .” — Isaia...

No Good Thing

Image
For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. — Psalm 84:11 (NASB1995) Yahweh is a good God. He pardons all our iniquities, He heals all our diseases; He redeems our lives from the pit. He crowns us with lovingkindness and compassion; He satisfies our years with good things, so that our youth is renewed like the eagle. (See Psalm 103:3-5 NASB1995) Like the sun, He will light up the darkness around us. And like a shield, He protects us. He withholds no good thing from His people. Remember, what looks like a good thing to you, may not be a good thing for you right now. Our heavenly Father is good and He wants the best for each one of His children. Be still before the LORD; wait patiently for Him and entrust yourself to Him… (See Psalm 37:7 AMP) “…blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence.  — Jeremiah 17:7 (NLT)

He Knows

Image
O LORD, You have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, and are intimately acquainted with all my ways. — Psalm 139:1-3 (NASB1995) El Elyon, the God Most High, is over every person, place or thing, for He created it all. He is our Maker, and He is intimately acquainted with all of our ways. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Indeed, He knows the number of hairs on your head. (See Luke 12:6-7) He knows the plans He has for us. All of our days were written in His book before we drew our first breath. (See Psalm 139:16) Whatever troubles come, He has already made a way out for us. Nothing that happens to us is a surprise to Him.  Let us worship and thank our great God. He is a good, good Father and a gracious, generous God. Be glad in this day, which He has made, knowing that our lives are in the hands of the One Who created it all, and the plans He has for us...

Stay Straight

Image
Let your eyes look directly ahead and let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. Watch the path of your feet and all your ways will be established. — Proverbs 4:25-26 (NASB1995) May we follow  the Word of God, and not turn aside from it to the right or to the left. The Word will keep us on the straight and narrow path that leads to everlasting life.  Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6 NASB1995) In other words, He will straighten out your crooked ways, as you stay submitted to Him.

Do As He Says

Image
When He had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch.” Simon answered and said, “Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing, but I will do as You say and let down the nets.” — Luke 5:4-5 (NASB1995) When we attempt to take on a task in our own human effort and we often produce nothing, and sometimes we make a bigger mess of things. However, when our Master instructs us to do something, let us make sure we do it, even if we have already tried to do it in the past. Because Simon obeyed Jesus and let down his nets, even though they had worked all night, they caught so many fish that their nets began to break. (See Luke 5:6) When we humble ourselves and obey the Lord, many blessings are sure to follow. It is not by mere human might, nor by power, but by His Spirit that we are able to accomplish anything of lasting value. In John 15:5, Jesus said: “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he be...

The Light

Image
This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. — John 3:19-20 (NASB1995) We live in a time where many love darkness rather than the Light. Let us be lovers of the Light. In the Light there is hope, healing, love and life. …for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light (Ephesian 5:8) Give thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light. For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son. (See Colossians 1:12-13 NASB1995) …as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, (John 1:12).  Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me w...

He Cares

Image
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. — 1 Peter 5:6-7 (NASB1995) Humble yourselves in the presence of Yahweh and stay close to Him. He is faithful to take care of us. We may have to go through some things but He is faithful to deliver us from all of our troubles. First Peter 5:10-11 says: After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen.

God With Us

Image
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which translated means, “God with us.”  — Matthew 1:23 (NASB1995) No matter what we go through in this life, we can be confident that our mighty God is always with us. In Matthew 28:20, Immanuel reminds His disciples:  “…and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” In Hebrews 13:5, He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,” In His Presence we have unshakeable joy and perfect peace. We can be encouraged and comforted because in His Presence, is His power and strength for us to overcome the hardships and difficulties we face on earth. In Isaiah 41:10 He tells His people, ’Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’  “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go throu...
