The Door
I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly. —John 10:9-10 (NASB)
Doors give us access to whatever is on the other side. Doors also serve the purpose of keeping undesirable things out, such as inclement weather, or intruders and thieves. I have also seen instructions that in the event of earthquakes, the threshold of the door was a strong, safe place to stand. Ephesians 2:18 (NASB) says, through Jesus we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. May we enter the Kingdom of God through our Savior, the Christ. There we find the provision of our heavenly Father, everything we need to survive and thrive. Let us enter and draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (See Hebrews 4:16 NASB1995)
