Return Home
So he got up and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. —Luke 15:20 (NASB1995)
When the son who had went off and squandered his estate with loose living, had spent everything, a severe famine occurred and he began to be impoverished. When he came to his senses, he decided to return home. (See Luke 15:13-14,17-19) If you have strayed away from our heavenly Father, don’t wait for hunger and lack to come upon you. Return home. Just as a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him. (Psalm 103:13) He draws us to Him with lovingkindness. The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. (Psalm 103:8) He redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; (Psalm 103:4)
