No Looking Back
But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” —Luke 9:62 (NKJV)
In Luke 17:32, Yeshua said: “Remember Lot’s wife.” In Genesis 19:17, Lot was warned by one of the angels who took his family out of Sodom, “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you…” But his wife, from behind him, looked back, and she became a pillar of salt. (See Genesis 19:26)
Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude… (Philippians 3:13-15 NASB1995) No looking back. Yahweh is calling us to a higher level and a deeper walk.
