He Delights in Our Prosperity

Let them shout for joy and rejoice, who favor my vindication; And let them say continually, “The LORD be magnified, Who delights in the prosperity of His servant.” —Psalms 35:27 (NASB1995)

Prosperity is a state of flourishing and thriving (experiencing good success) in all areas of life. Yahweh has pleasure in the prosperity of His people. Proverbs 13:21 (NASB1995) says: Adversity pursues sinners, but the righteous will be rewarded with prosperity. Psalms 37:11 says, the humble will inherit the land and will delight themselves in abundant prosperity. Deuteronomy 30:15 (NLT) says: “Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between life and death, between prosperity and disaster.” Every day we get to make a decision to trust in and follow Yahweh. When we don’t choose Him, we are headed for disaster, destruction and death. Choose life in order that you may live!

Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. His soul will abide in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land. (Psalms 25:12-13 NASB1995) Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. (3 John 1:2 NASB1995)
