Find Strength

Three days later, when David and his men arrived home at their town of Ziklag, they found that the Amalekites had made a raid into the Negev and Ziklag; they had crushed Ziklag and burned it to the ground. David was now in great danger because all his men were very bitter about losing their sons and daughters, and they began to talk of stoning him. But David found strength in the LORD his God.
1 Samuel 30:1, 6 (NLT)

When David and his men saw the ruins and realized what had happened to their families, they wept until they could weep no more. (1 Samuel 30:3-4) After David inquired of the LORD (See 1 Samuel 30:8), he was able to recover all that the enemy had stolen from them. (See 1 Samuel 30:18-19) Let us continually find strength in the LORD, our God. He is the limitless source of power and strength. Find strength in our mighty God to recover all the enemy has stolen from you.

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. (2 Peter 1:3 NLT)
