Image-Bearers

Yet what honor you have given to men, created only a little lower than Elohim, crowned with glory and magnificence. You have delegated to them rulership over all you have made, with everything under their authority, placing earth itself under the feet of your image-bearers.
Psalm 8:5-6 (TPT)

In Genesis 1:27, God created human beings in His own image. As children of God, we are to bear His image. God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. (1 John 1:5) With the Lord’s authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused. (Ephesians 4:17 NLT) Live as children of the light. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy. (Ephesians 4:24 NLT)

God is love. (See 1 John 4:8) Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. (1 Corinthians 13:4-5) Are you bearing His image?
