Get in Position

And there was a man called by the name of Zaccheus; he was a chief tax collector and he was rich. Zaccheus was trying to see who Jesus was, and was unable because of the crowd, for he was small in stature. So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree in order to see Him, for He was about to pass through that way.Luke 19:2-4 (NASB1995)

May we be like Zaccheus, and intentionally get in the right place in order to see and hear Jesus clearly. Remove all distractions, and clear out any debris cluttering your mind. Let us bow down and have the posture of a humble heart. You will seek Him and find Him when you search for Him with all your heart. (See Jeremiah 29:13)

When Jesus came by, He looked up and said, “Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” And he hurried and came down and received Him gladly. (See Luke 19:5-6) Receive Jesus gladly, into your thoughts, into your heart, and into your home. And respond to His Presence. Be like the people in Luke 19:48, and hang on to every word Jesus said. What began with Zaccheus' desire to see Jesus, ended with him and his whole house receiving salvation. (See Luke 19:9-10) May you and your whole house gladly receive Christ and dine with Him daily.
