Overflowing Gratitude
Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude... —Philippians 4:6 (TPT)
Let us present our requests before our Heavenly Father, not with a sense of entitlement, but with a humble and grateful attitude. For great is the LORD and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. (Psalm 96:4 NASB1995) Bless the LORD, O my soul! He is clothed with splendor and majesty. (See Psalm 104:1) The LORD is gracious and merciful; Slow to anger and great in lovingkindness. (Psalm 145:8)
The LORD has done great things for us. He formed our inward parts and wove us together in our mother's womb. Give thanks to YAHWEH, for we are fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are His works, and my soul knows it very well. (See Psalm 139:13-14 NASB1995) God made us in His image and likeness. (See Genesis 1:26 NKJV) All the days ordained for each one of us were written in His book, before we were even born. (See Psalm 139:16) Let us be grateful, because the plans He has for us are good, for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)
Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. —Colossians 2:6-7 (NASB1995)
