“The God Who Sees Me”
Thereafter, Hagar used another name to refer to the LORD, who had spoken to her. She said, “You are the God who sees me.” She also said, “Have I truly seen the One who sees me?” —Genesis 16:13 (NLT)
The LORD is El-Roi, “The God Who Sees Me.” Our heavenly Father is always with us. Be reassured, that He has not forgotten about you, or your situation. In fact, His thoughts of you outnumber the grains of sand. (See Psalm 139:17-18 NLT) The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous and His ears are open to their cry. (Psalm 34:15 NASB1995) He examines our hearts and knows everything about us. He knows when we sit down and when we rise. He knows our thoughts and is intimately acquainted with all of our ways. (See Psalm 139:1-3) He goes before us, and makes a way for us. He also follows behind us. He places His hand of blessing on our heads. (See Psalm 139:5 NLT & Isaiah 43:16) Amen and hallelujah!
