He Remembers You

Then they arose early in the morning and worshiped before the LORD, and returned again to their house in Ramah. And Elkanah had relations with Hannah his wife, and the LORD remembered her. —1 Samuel 1:19 (NASB1995)

In 1 Samuel 1:10 (NLT), Hannah was in deep anguish, crying bitterly as she prayed to the LORD. Eli, the priest, saw her lips moving but heard no sound, so he thought she had been drinking. (See 1 Samuel 1:12-13 NLT) “Oh no, sir!” she replied. “I haven’t been drinking wine or anything stronger. But I am very discouraged, and I was pouring out my heart to the LORD. Don’t think I am a wicked woman! For I have been praying out of great anguish and sorrow.” (1 Samuel 15-16 NLT) When they returned home, Elkanah slept with Hannah, and the LORD remembered her plea, and in due time she gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, for she said, “I asked the LORD for him.” (See 1 Samuel 1:19-20 NLT)

If you are discouraged and in deep anguish, pour your heart out to Yahweh. He remembers your pleas. In due time, you will receive the answer. There is an appointed time ordained by Yahweh, for things to happen or stop happening. Continue to praise and thank God, while you are expectantly waiting for the answer to become a present reality.

This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. —1 John 5:14-15 (NASB1995)

So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” Our joy is not to be based on the fluctuating circumstances of our lives. We experience fullness of joy in the Presence of Yahweh and He is always with us. No matter what season of life you are going through, have continual and contagious joy. Let your joy overflow and spill out onto those around you.
