A Long & Prosperous Life

Image
“Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies! Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.” — Psalms 34:12-14 (NLT) “Trust in the LORD and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.” (Psalms 37:3 NLT) “Look at those who are honest and good, for a wonderful future awaits those who love peace.” (Psalms 37:37 NLT) Blessed [happy and sheltered by God’s favor] is everyone who fears the LORD [and worships Him with obedience], who walks in His ways and lives according to His commandments. For you shall eat the fruit of [the labor of] your hands, you will be happy and blessed and it will be well with you. (Psalms 128:1-2 AMP)  Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along th...

Call Upon Him

Image
“You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works. The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.” — Psalms 145:16-18 (NKJV) “O LORD, hear me as I pray; pay attention to my groaning. Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for I pray to no one but you.” (Psalms 5:1-2 NLT) “…in my distress I cried out to the LORD; yes, I cried to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry reached his ears.” (2 Samuel 22:7 NLT) He will send from heaven and save me; He calls to account him who tramples me down. Selah. God will send out His lovingkindness and His truth. (Psalms 57:3 AMP) Seek the LORD while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. (Isaiah 55:6 NLT) ...You, O Yahweh, are a shield about me, my glory, and the One who lifts my head. I was calling to Yahweh with my voice, and He answered me from His holy mountain. Selah. — Psalms 3:3-4 (LSB)

All We Need

Image
Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. — 1 Timothy 6:17 (NLT) Set your hope on the living God, Who gives us richly all things to enjoy. For the love of money [that is, the greedy desire for it and the willingness to gain it unethically] is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves [through and through] with many sorrows. (1 Timothy 6:10 AMP) Put your confidence in our Heavenly Father. He is the source of all we need. He gives freely and liberally. He is Jehovah Jireh, the LORD, our Provider. They who seek the LORD will not lack any good thing. (See Psalms 34:10 AMP)  Don’t be obsessed with money but live content with what you have, for you always have God’s presence. For hasn’t he promised you, “I will never leave you, never! And I will not loosen my grip on yo...

Truth Sets Us Free

Image
Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” — John 8:31-32 (NLT) Yeshua came into the world to testify to the truth. (See John 18:37) The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is upon Him, for the LORD has anointed Him to bring good news to the poor. He was sent to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. (See Isaiah 61:1) “…the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ.” (See Galatians 3:22 NLT) Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace. (Romans 6:14 NLT) Be a true disciple of Christ and remain faithful to His teachings. May we press on to know the truth and be set free from anything or anyone that attempts to hold us captiv...

He Sustains You

Image
Cast your burden upon Yahweh and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. — Psalms 55:22 (LSB) Cast your burden upon the LORD and stand strong and firm in your faith until the appointed time of your deliverance comes. For we walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7) Many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the LORD rescues him from them all. (Psalms 34:19 AMP) Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the LORD. (Psalms 31:24 NKJV)

Greater Joy!

Image
Many people say, “Who will show us better times?” Let your face smile on us, LORD. You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine. — Psalms 4:6-7 (NLT) Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! (Psalms 34:8 NLT) Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. (Psalms 34:5 NLT) There is no greater delight than the fullness of joy we are able to experience in the glorious Presence of our mighty GOD. His lovingkindness is better than life and it endures forever. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Chr...

Nothing is Too Hard

Image
“O Sovereign LORD! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you!” — Jeremiah 32:17 (NLT) When we open the door of our hearts to the King of kings and the Lord of lords, our Savior and our Redeemer, we are new creations. Second Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) says: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. The Lord GOD will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; He will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. He says: “I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.” (See Ezekiel 36:26-27 NKJV) “I am the LORD, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27 NLT) Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. — 1 Pe...

Live in Peace

Image
And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. — Colossians 3:15 (NLT) We are called to live in peace. It is supposed to rule in our hearts, not fear, not anxiety, nor worry, but peace. We are not to only experience moments of peace, when it seems everything has come into perfect alignment. Our peace is to be consistent and continual, regardless of external circumstances. The Amplified Bible describes it as the inner calm of one who walks daily with Christ. (See Colossians 3:15 AMP) We can only have this perfect peace when we rely fully on God and trust Him, that no matter what is going on in our lives, and in this world, He is working everything together for good. If our peace is based on the constantly changing conditions of this world, it will never be stable. Our peace has to come from within us where the Holy Spirit of God dwells. He produces the fruit of peace in our lives. (See Ga...

Surrounded

Image
“Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people, both now and forever.” — Psalms 125:2 (NLT) In 2 Kings 6:15,17-18 (NLT), Elisha’s servant could only see the enemy troops surrounding the city, but Elisha prayed: “O LORD, open his eyes and let him see!” The LORD opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.  You may feel that the enemy has you surrounded, but remember the words of Elisha in 2 Kings 6:16, “Don’t be afraid!” “For there are more on our side than on theirs!” May Yahweh open your eyes to see the situation with eyes of faith. GOD stands with you and gives you strength. He has already given us the victory. Praise the LORD!

Seek First

Image
“It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones.” — Psalms 127:2 (NLT) “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. ”  (Matthew 6:31-32 NLT) But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also. (Matthew 6:33 AMP) “Your unfailing love, O LORD, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O LORD. How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings. You feed them from the ...

Hope & Confidence

Image
This is what the LORD says: “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the LORD.” — Jeremiah 17:5 (NLT) “But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-8 NLT) Set your affections on Yahweh. And keep your hope and your confidence in Him. ...our hope is in the living God, who is the Savior of all people and particularly of all believers. (See 1 Timothy 4:10) I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. (Ephesians 3:16:17 NLT)

With God’s Help

Image
“Oh, please help us against our enemies, for all human help is useless. With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.” — Psalms 60:11-12 (NLT) God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Interlude (Psalms 46:1-3 NLT) Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. (See Romans 8:37 AMP) …thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us spreads and makes evident everywhere the sweet fragrance of the knowledge of Him. (2 Corinthians 2:14 AMP) Where he leads, let us be sure to follow.

Boast in the LORD

Image
This is what the LORD says: “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches. But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the LORD who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the LORD, have spoken!” — Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NLT) “Some nations boast of their chariots and horses, but we boast in the name of the LORD our God.” (Psalms 20:7 NLT) “Our help is from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.” (Psalms 124:8 NLT) We can do nothing apart from Him. As the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the LORD.” (2 Corinthians 10:17 NLT) So let is press on to know the LORD. (See Hosea 6:3) “My soul will make its boast in Yahweh; The humble will hear it and rejoice. O magnify Yahweh with me, and let us exalt His name together.” — Psalms 34:2-3 (LSB)

Hope in the LORD

Image
“Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.” — Psalms 25:4-5 (NLT)  “...blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. ”  (Jeremiah 17:7 NLT) “The LORD is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way. The LORD leads with unfailing love and faithfulness all who keep his covenant and obey his demands.” (Psalms 25:8-10 NLT) And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you. (Psalms 39:7 NLT) Let your unfailing love surround us, LORD, for our hope is in you alone. (Psalms 33:22 NLT)

Rejoice!

Image
“This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalms 118:24 (NLT) Each and every day that Yahweh wakes us up, we have a good reason to rejoice. “We put our hope in the LORD. He is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name.” (Psalms 33:20-21 NLT) Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous ones; And shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart. (Psalms 32:11 NASB1995) …“Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the LORD is your strength!” (Nehemiah 8:10 NLT)   “Be cheerful with joyous celebration in every season of life . Let your joy overflow!”  — Philippians 4:4 (TPT)

Imitate GOD

Image
“I refuse to gaze on that which is vulgar. I despise works of evil people and anything that moves my heart away from you. I will not let evil hold me in its grip. Every perverse and crooked way I have put away from my heart, for I will have nothing to do with the deeds of darkness.” — Psalms 101:3-4 (TPT) As children of GOD, have no involvement with the deeds of darkness. Reject anything that causes your heart to move away from our Heavenly Father. Instead, “Be imitators of God in everything you do, for then you will represent your Father as his beloved sons and daughters. Once your life was full of sin’s darkness, but now you have th e very light of our Lord shining through you because of your union with him. Your mission is to live as children flooded with his revelation-light!” (Ephesians 5:1, 8 TPT) So imitate God and be truly compassionate, the way your Father is. — Luke 6:36 (VOICE)

Our Maker

Image
“This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer and Creator: “I am the LORD, who made all things. I alone stretched out the heavens. Who was with me when I made the earth?” — Isaiah 44:24 (NLT) But now, O Yahweh, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand. (Isaiah 64:8 LSB) May we be soft and pliable in the hands of our Maker. Bend in the places where He says to bend. He will smooth out our rough places and straighten out the areas that need to be straightened.  Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. (Psalm 95:6-7 NLT) The LORD will accomplish that which concerns me; Your [unwavering] lovingkindness, O LORD, endures forever— Do not abandon the works of Your own hands. (Psalms 138:8 AMP)

Proclaim the Good News!

Image
“Let the whole earth sing to the Lord! Each day proclaim the good news that he saves. Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does. Great is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise! He is to be feared above all gods.” — 1 Chronicles 16:23-25 (NLT) Give to the LORD the glory he deserves! Honor and majesty surround him; strength and joy fill his dwelling. (See ‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭16‬:‭27 & 29a‬ NLT‬‬) Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for He is good for His lovingkindness endures forever. (‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭16‬:‭‭34‬ ‭LSB) Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms. Interlude. Our God is a God who saves! The Sovereign LORD rescues us from death. But God will smash the heads of his enemies, crushing the skulls of those who love their guilty ways. (Psalms 68:19-21 NLT)  Luke 24:47 (NLT) says: There is forgiveness of sins for ALL who repent. “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near....

Listen & Live

Image
“ Why do you spend money for that which is not bread, and your earnings for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight in abundance. ” — Isaiah 55:2 (AMP) In Isaiah 55:3 (NLT), the LORD says: “Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David.” Incline your ear to hear the Word of Yahweh, more than the negative news of this world. His Word gives life. (See Psalms 119:50 NKJV) His Word is a source of hope. The instructions of the LORD are perfect, reviving the soul… (See Psalms 19:7 NLT). Open your eyes to see the wonderful truths in His instructions. And may you hide his word in your heart that you may not sin against Him. (See Psalms 119:18 & 11 NLT)

Turn to the LORD

Image
“Seek the LORD while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the LORD that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.” — Isaiah 55:6-7 (NLT) If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9 NKJV) For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. (Psalms 103:11-12 NASB1995) “Now, therefore,” says the LORD, “Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning. So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the LORD your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.” (Joel 2:12-13 NKJV)

Be Transformed

Image
The LORD has given me a strong warning not to think like everyone else does. He said, “Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do, and don’t live in dread of what frightens them. Make the LORD of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life. He is the one you should fear. He is the one who should make you tremble.” — Isaiah 8:11-13 (NLT) And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. (Romans 12:2 AMP) Let us renew our minds with the Word of God, so we can be transformed instead of conforming to the ways of the world.
