Seek His Help

Image
‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ — Isaiah 41:10 (NASB1995) In 2 Chronicles 20:1-2, a great multitude came against Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah. Jehoshaphat was afraid and turned his attention to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. So Judah gathered together to seek help from the LORD; they even came from all the cities of Judah to seek the LORD. (See 2 Chronicles 20:3-4) In 2 Chronicles 20:12, Jehoshaphat said: “…we are powerless before this great multitude who are coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are on You.” When we don’t know what to do, let us look to the LORD. In response to Jehoshaphat’s prayer, the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jahzaiel, and he said, “Listen, all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: thus says the LORD to you, ‘Do not fear or be dismayed ...

He will Work It Out

Image
The LORD will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me. — Psalm 138:8 (NLT) God has said, “ I will never fail you. I will never abandon you .” (See Hebrews 13:5 NLT) For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the LORD, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11 AMP) Whatever you go through today, know that Yahweh is with you and His plan is for your peace and well-being. And His plan and purpose will prevail over all. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV) Fix your hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers. (See 1 Timothy 4:10 NASB1995) And He will show you the path of life. (Psalm 16:11 AMP)

A Happy Heart

Image
A happy heart is good medicine and a joyful mind causes healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones. — Proverbs 17:22 (AMP) Proverbs 17:22 (NLT) says: …a broken spirit saps a person’s strength. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the LORD is our strength (See Nehemiah 8:10 NLT) He gives us the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. (See Isaiah 61:3) But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy. (Psalm 5:11 NLT) I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, My soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. — Isaiah 61:10 (NASB1995)

Don't Hesitate

Image
Elijah came near to all the people and said, “How long will you hesitate between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people did not answer him a word. — 1 Kings 18:21 (NASB1995) James 1:6-8 (NASB1995) says: …the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. Don’t try to serve God and the god of this world (Satan). You cannot have one foot in the Kingdom of God and one in the world. James 4:4 says: You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God. Have faith in God, and follow Jesus Christ. He will show you the path of life. Strive to enter through the narrow gate which leads to life, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. (See ...

Powerful Prayer & Praise

Image
A mob quickly formed against Paul and Silas, and the city officials ordered them stripped and beaten with wooden rods. They were severely beaten, and then they were thrown into prison. The jailer was ordered to make sure they didn’t escape. So the jailer put them into the inner dungeon and clamped their feet in the stocks. — Acts 16:22-24 (NLT) After being beaten and jailed, you might have thought Paul and Silas were down and out, but about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them; (Acts 16:25 NASB1995) Never let the enemy steal your joy. The joy of the LORD is your strength. And your joy is contagious. Continually sing praises to our awesome and Mighty God. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. (See James 5:16 NLT) As Paul and Silas were praying and singing praise to God, suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All ...

Keep Fervent

Image
But I have this [charge] against you, that you have left your first love [you have lost the depth of love that you first had for Me]. — Revelation 2:4 (AMP) Don't be like the church of Ephesus, and lose the depth of love you have for Yahweh. First Peter 4:8 (NASB1995) says: above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. The love of God in us, helps us to forgive and overlook each another’s faults. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear. (see 1 John 4:18) And the love God has for us is indeed perfect. Open you heart to receive His perfect love and let it cover everyone He brings your way.  And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be...

The God Who Sees

Image
Thereafter, Hagar used another name to refer to the LORD, who had spoken to her. She said, “You are the God who sees me.” She also said, “Have I truly seen the One who sees me?” — Genesis 16:13 (NLT) Never think that God has forgotten about you. When Sarai treated Hagar harshly, she fled from her presence into the wilderness and God met her there. (See Genesis 16:6) Whatever you’re going through today, He sees you. He knows your struggle and your pain. And He is your help, your comfort and your strength. Look to Him and He will show you the way. Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, on those who hope for His lovingkindness, to deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive in famine. — Psalm 33:18-19 (NASB1995)

It's His Glory

Image
The people kept crying out, “The voice of a god and not of a man!” And immediately an angel of the Lord struck him because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and died. But the word of the Lord continued to grow and to be multiplied. — Acts 12:22-24 (NASB1995) God struck Herod down because he did not give God the glory. All glory, honor and praise belong to our great God, Creator of heaven and earth. He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things; and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; (See Acts 17:25-27) The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. (Psalm 19:1-2 NASB1995) Glory in His ho...

An Opportunity

Image
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. — James 1:2 (NLT)
Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. (1 Peter 4:12 NLT) In this world, you will have many trials and sorrows. But don’t get discouraged. Instead, seize the opportunity to be joyful because when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. (See James 3-4) Let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. (See Hebrews 12:1)  For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised. — Hebrews 10:36 (AMP)

Stay True

Image
He had 700 wives of royal birth and 300 concubines. And in fact, they did turn his heart away from the LORD. In Solomon’s old age, they turned his heart to worship other gods instead of being completely faithful to the LORD his God, as his father, David, had been. — 1 Kings 11:3-4 (NLT) King Solomon loved many foreign women from the nations which the LORD had clearly instructed the people of Israel not to associate with them. He held fast to them in love. (See 1 Kings 11:1-2) Let us be very careful to whom or on what we set our affections. Never let the things of this world turn your heart away from Almighty God. May we remain completely faithful and loyal to Yahweh, all of our days, and worship Him alone. Stay true to the Most High God. For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. (2 Chronicles 16:9a NASB1995)

Be Still

Image
“Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah. — Psalm 46:10-11 (NASB1995) May we always take time to be still in the presence of YAHWEH. Remove all distractions, and focus your attention on the great “I AM”, Who is with you at all times. Let us be still physically, but also clear our minds of all the clutter that life brings our way. Instead of trying to figure things out on your own, turn your concerns over to our heavenly Father. Our help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. (See Psalm 121:2) Nothing is too difficult for Him. And He cares about you. Reflect on His goodness and His faithfulness. Praise and give thanks to our great and awesome God!  Be silent before the LORD, all humanity, for he is springing into action from his holy dwelling. — Zechariah 2:13 (NLT)

The Mind of Christ

Image
For who has known the mind and purposes of the LORD, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes]. — 1 Corinthians 2:16 (AMP) The god of this world [Satan] has blinded the minds of the unbelieving to prevent them from seeing the illuminating light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (See 2 Corinthians 4:4 AMP) You must no longer live as the [unbelieving] Gentiles live, in the futility of their minds [and in the foolishness and emptiness of their souls], (Ephesians 4:17 AMP) Let the spoken word of Christ have its home within you, dwelling in your heart and mind—permeating every aspect of your being. (See Colossians 3:16 AMP) May the words of Christ guide our thoughts, actions and speech.

Why are You Troubled?

Image
And He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?” — Luke 24:38 (NASB1995) When Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James; also the other women with them told the apostles about the empty tomb, their words appeared to them as nonsense, and they would not believe them. (See Luke 24:10-11 NASB1995) Later, Jesus said to them, “O foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into His glory?” (Luke 24:25-26 NASB1995) Do not let your hearts be troubled. In these end times, we too will suffer some things, but we have a risen Savior. He has overcome this world and gained the victory for us. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! (2 Corinthians 4:17 NLT) Have no doubts. Jesus is alive! And at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those wh...

Why He Came

Image
So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. — John 1:14 (NLT) Jesus came to do the will of the Father. (See Hebrews 10:7) He came to preach the kingdom of God. (See Luke 4:43) In Luke 5:32, He says: “I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.” “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10 NASB1995). It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners… (See 1 Timothy 1:15 NASB1995)  In John 18:37, Jesus said to Pilate, “You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. (John 3:17 NASB1995) The thief comes on...

Not of the World

Image
I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. — John 17:15-16 (NASB1995) As ambassadors of the Kingdom of God, we are not to adapt to the ways of this world. We are to become progressively more and more like our heavenly Father. For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17 NLT) Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 NASB1995) In Luke 17:21 (NKJV), Jesus said: “the kingdom of God is within you.” …what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, “I will dwell in th...

Greater Love

Image
Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you. — John 15:13-14 (NASB1995) Yeshua is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being fell upon Him… (see Isaiah 53:5). Proverbs 17:17 (NASB1995) says: A friend loves at all times. Our Savior and Redeemer is that friend and our example.  We are His friends, IF we do what He commands us to do. We have to abide in Him and His word must abide in us. Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. (James 4:4 NKJV) Yahweh has set before us life and good, death and evil. We must choose for ourselves this day whom we will serve. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.( See Joshua 24:15 and Deuteronomy 30:15) Amen...

Keep Watching & Praying

Image
“Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” — Matthew 26:41 (NASB1995) Temptation may come, but we do not have to enter into it. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. (Hebrews 4:15 NLT) In Genesis 4:7, the LORD said to Cain: “If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it.” We must rule over the flesh. So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. (Galatians 5:16 NLT) …walk habitually in the [Holy] Spirit [seek Him and be responsive to His guidance], and then you will certainly not carry out the desire of the sinful nature [which responds impulsively without regard for God and His precepts]. (Galatians 5:16 AMP) It is the Spirit who gives life; the fle...

Be Wholly Devoted

Image
“so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God; there is no one else. Let your heart therefore be wholly devoted to the LORD our God, to walk in His statutes and to keep His commandments, as at this day.” — 1 Kings 8:60-61 (NASB1995) Jesus answered and said to them, “See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. (Matthew 24:4-5, 11 NASB1995) Do not be deceived. Look away from all the distractions and keep your eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. (See Hebrews 12:2) Let us incline our hearts to Yahweh and be wholly devoted to Him. Proverbs 4:23 (NLT) says to guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. “What I say to you I say to everyone, ‘Be on the alert [stay awake and be continually cautious]!’” (Mark 13:37 AMP) For you do not know the day, nor the hour of our Lord's return.

“Who do you say that I am?”

Image
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” — Matthew 16:15-16 (NASB1995) First, Jesus asked His disciples: “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” (See Matthew 16:13) Then He asked them specifically, “…who do you say that I am?” What is more important for each one of us, is Who we say and believe Jesus is. As John the Baptist sat in prison, he sent two of his disciples to Jesus, saying, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?” (See Matthew 11:2-3) There is no other. In John 14:6 Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” He is the chief Corner Stone of the foundation, in whom believers are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. (See Ephesians 2:21-22) Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put t...

He Dwells with Us

Image
For the high and exalted One He who inhabits eternity, Whose name is Holy says this,
“I dwell on the high and holy place, but also with the contrite and humble in spirit in order to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the contrite [overcome with sorrow for sin].” — Isaiah 57:15 (AMP) Even though He dwells in the high and holy place, the everlasting God, the Creator of Heaven and earth, is also with us. He will revive (give new strength and energy to) your spirit and your heart. Do not fear anything, for the great “I AM” dwells with those who are humble and have a repentant heart. Do not anxiously look about you, for He is your God. He will strengthen you, surely He will help you, surely He will uphold you with His righteous right hand. (See Isaiah 41:10) Many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the LORD rescues him from them all. (Psalm 34:19 AMP) Amen.

Our Security & Stability

Image
The LORD is exalted, for He dwells on high; He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness. And He will be the security and stability of your times, a treasure of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is your treasure. — Isaiah 33:5-6 (AMP) In these ever changing, and often chaotic times, Yahweh is our security and stability. He does not change. (See Malachi 3:6) Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6) He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8) Isaiah 33:6 (VOICE) says: God will be what holds things together, fast and firm during these times. King David said this about him: ‘I see that the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. No wonder my heart is glad, and my tongue shouts his praises! My body rests in hope. (Acts 2:25-26 NLT) The Presence of the LORD is with you too. Let your heart be glad and your mouth continually sing His praises.

Hope in the LORD

Image
Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in the LORD. — Psalm 31:24 (NASB1995) How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God, Who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them; Who keeps faith forever; (Psalm 146:5-6 NASB1995) Those who keep their hope in the LORD will not be disappointed. No matter how circumstances may appear, remember, with God ALL things are possible. (See Matthew 19:26) …as for me, I will hope continually, and will praise the LORD yet more and more. (See Psalm 71:14) I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. — Romans 15:13 (NLT)

Be Clothed with Humility

Image
Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” — 1 Peter 5:5 (NKJV) Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD; Assuredly, he will not be unpunished. (Proverbs 16:5 NASB1995) Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before stumbling. (Proverbs 16:8 NASB1995) Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, (1 Peter 5:6 NKJV)  Even Jesus, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. (See Philippians 2:8) Humble yourselves [with an attitude of repentance and insignificance] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up, He will give you purpose]. (James 4:10 AMP)

The LORD has His Way

Image
The LORD is slow to anger and great in power and He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. The LORD has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust beneath His feet. — Nahum 1:3 (AMP) Jesus got into a boat, and His disciples followed Him. There arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being covered with the waves, but Jesus was asleep. And they came to Him and woke Him, saying, “Save us, Lord; we are perishing!” He said to them, “Why are you afraid, you men of little faith?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it became perfectly calm. (See Matthew 8:23-26) When storms arise in your life, do not fear. Jesus is in the boat with you and He is the life Saver. He has His way in the storm. Even the winds and the sea obey Him. Amen.

Our Rock

Image
On God my salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah. — Psalm 62:7-8 (NASB1995) He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken. (Psalm 62:2) ...the LORD’s plans stand firm forever; his intentions can never be shaken. (Psalm 33:11 NLT) Everything we have and ever hope to be, ultimately rests on the Sovereign God, El Elyon (the God Most High). For in Him we live and move and have our being. (See Acts 17:28) He is the One Who formed us in the womb of our mothers, and wrote all our days in His book. (See Psalm 139:13&16). He is the all-sufficient One, the eternal Source of all that we will ever need. His supply never runs dry. Draw near to our everlasting God and He will draw near to you. Let us come to Him, with humble hearts, and reside in His Presence, as His Holy Spirit abides in us. Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my pr...

Remember God

Image
Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God! Now I am deeply discouraged, but I will remember you… — Psalm 42:5-6 (NLT) Remember Yahweh. Each and every day He pours His unfailing love upon us. Through each night, let us sing His songs and pray to Almighty God who gives us life. (See Psalm 42:8) See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! (See 1 John 3:1 NLT) Don’t be discouraged, for the LORD our God is living among us. He is a mighty Savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs. (See Zephaniah 3:17 NLT) He is a victorious warrior. In the world we will have tribulation, but take courage, because Jesus has overcome the world. (See John 16:33) Because He overcame, we too shall overcome. With God all things are possible. Amen.

Don't Wander

Image
I have wandered down the wrong path like a lost sheep; come find me, Your servant, because I do not forget Your commands. — Psalm 119:176 (VOICE) When we wander down the wrong paths, we make ourselves vulnerable to the attack of the enemy. Let us closely follow Yahweh, and stay on the path that leads to life. In Psalm 63:7-8 (NKJV), David says: Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me.  He restores your soul; He guides you in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. (See Psalm 23:3 NASB1995) He will make known to you the path of life; In His presence is fullness of joy; In His right hand there are pleasures forever. (See Psalm 16:1 NASB1995)

Rely on God

Image
Trust in and rely confidently on the LORD with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. — Proverbs 3:5 (AMP) Do not depend on your own understanding. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are God’s ways higher than our ways and His thoughts than our thoughts. (See Isaiah 55:9) Don’t do things just because it's the way you have always done them. Instead of being on automatic pilot, listen for the still small voice of the Holy Spirit Who dwells within you, and follow His guidance. Come to Yahweh everyday, with an empty cup and He will fill it. Cast your cares on Him and rely on Him to lead you through each day.  The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. — Isaiah 58:11 (NKJV)

Seek the Word

Image
“Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord God, “That I will send a famine on the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD. They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the LORD, but shall not find it. — Amos 8:11-12 (NKJV) Instead of a constant stream of the negative news, let us diligently seek the Word of the LORD. May we treasure it in our hearts, that we may not sin against Yahweh. (See Psalm 119:11) The word of the LORD is very pure and proven. (See Psalm 119:140, 18:30). Forever, His Word is settled in heaven. (See Psalm 119:89) His word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. (Psalm 119:105) It will show us the way we are to go. His Word is truth (Psalm 119:142) and when you know the truth, the truth shall make you free. (See John 8:32) Amen.

It is Good

Image
It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes. — Psalm 119:71 (NASB1995) I am exceedingly afflicted; Revive me, O LORD, according to Your word. (Psalm 119:107 NASB1995) Look upon my suffering and rescue me, for I have not forgotten your instructions. (Psalm 119:153 NLT) Even affliction serves its purpose. Pain and suffering has a way of humbling us and causing us to look to Yahweh and cling to His living Word. It has a way of bringing us back to our Hiding Place and what we know. Psalm 119:67 (VOICE) says: Before I had trouble, I strayed from the true path, the path of righteousness, but now I live according to Your word. If you have strayed away from truth, let the Word of God, guide you back onto the path of life.  As we persevere difficulties, we find strength in the Lord. The woman who had a hemorrhage for 12 years, found strength to push her way through the crowd, in order to touch the cloak of Jesus. Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up; and...
