A Father’s Help

Image
“But in the depths of my heart I truly know that you, Yahweh, have become my Shield; You take me and surround me with yourself. Your glory covers me continually. You lift high my head. I have cried out to you, Yahweh, from your holy presence. You send me a Father’s help. Pause in his presence” — Psalms 3:3-4 (TPT) As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. (Psalms 125:2 NASB1995) He is a shield to all who trust in Him. (See Psalms 18:30 NKJV) …the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3 NASB1995) Lift up your eyes to the hills— from whence comes our help. Our help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. (See Psalms 121:1-2 NKJV) “Yahweh himself will watch over you; he’s always at your side to shelter you safely in his presence.” (Psalms 121:5 TPT)

Yahweh-Nissi, Our Banner

Image
Moses built an altar there and named it Yahweh-Nissi (which means “the LORD is my banner”). — Exodus 17:15 (NLT) In Exodus 17:9-13, Moses stood at the top of the hill holding up the staff in his hands, while Joshua fought the army of Amalek. As long as Moses held up the staff in his hand, the Israelites had the advantage. Eventually, Aaron and Hur stood on each side of Moses and held his hands steady until sunset. As a result, Joshua overwhelmed the army of Amalek in battle. Yahweh-Nissi is our banner of victory. He delivers and He saves. May we yield our hearts and lift our hands up to Him. With the full armor of God on, we are able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. (See Ephesians 6:10-11) Yahweh always leads us in triumph in Christ. (See 2 Corinthians 2:14) God gives us victory against the flesh, the world, the devil and death. As Yeshua said in John 19:30, “ It is finished! ” O clap your hands, all you people; Shout to God with the voice of triumph and songs of joy. Fo...

The LORD Reigns!

Image
“The LORD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him— my father’s God, and I will exalt him! The LORD is a warrior; Yahweh is his name!” “The LORD will reign forever and ever!” — Exodus 15:2-3, 15:18 (NLT) In all of our trials and tribulations, we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. (See Romans 8:37 AMP) Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. May Yahweh give you the strength to run with endurance the race that is set before you. Finish the course, and keep the faith. (See 1 Timothy 6:12, 2 Timothy 4:7 & Hebrews 12:1) “Who is like you among the gods, O LORD— glorious in holiness, awesome in splendor, performing great wonders?” — Exodus 15:11 (NLT)

Rise Up!

Image
“Some find their strength in their weapons and wisdom, but my miracle-deliverance can never be won by men. Our boast is in Yahweh our God, who makes us strong and gives us victory! Our enemies will not prevail; they will only collapse and perish in defeat while we will rise up, full of courage.” — Psalms 20:7-8 (TPT) As followers of Yeshua, we are a chosen people. We are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession… (See 1 Peter 2:9) Rise up for the battle is the LORD’s, and He has already given us the victory. “In times of trouble, may the LORD answer your cry. May the name of the God of Jacob keep you safe from all harm. May he send you help from his sanctuary and strengthen you from Jerusalem. May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed. May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory and raise a victory banner in the name of our God. May the LORD answer all your prayers.” (Psalms 20:1-2 & 4-5 NLT)

New Every Morning

Image
“ This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. The LORD’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. ” — Lamentations 3:21-23 (NASB1995) It is through the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed. He is a gracious and merciful GOD, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness. The Word says: His compassions NEVER fail. They are fresh and brand new every single morning. At the dawn of each new day, let us have hope as we remember the lovingkindness of Yahweh is being poured out upon us. Even when we are not faithful, He remains faithful. His loyal and unfailing love endures forever. May we declare His lovingkindness in the morning, and His faithfulness every night. (See Psalms 92:2 NKJV) Keep your hope in Him alive and expect great things from our Mighty GOD. I tell my soul, “Yahweh is my abundant portion. I need nothing more. So, I will put all my hope in him.” (Lamentations 3:24 TPT)  The LORD has...

Bless the Name of YAHWEH

Image
And God said to Moses, “I am Yahweh—‘the LORD.’ I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as El-Shaddai—‘God Almighty’—but I did not reveal my name, Yahweh, to them.” — Exodus 6:2-3 (NLT) In Exodus 3:15 (NLT) God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel: Yahweh, the God of your ancestors—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you. This is my eternal name, my name to remember for all generations.” Our help is in the name of Yahweh, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalms 124:8 LSB) He is El-Shaddai, the all-sufficient, all-bountiful, Almighty GOD, the source of all life and blessings. He is all-powerful. None of our troubles are too big for Him to handle. The name of Yahweh is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is set securely on high. (Proverbs 18:10 LSB)  I will give thanks to Yahweh according to His righteousness
and will sing praise to the name of Yahweh Most High. (Psalms 7:17 LSB) Some boast in chariots and some in ho...

Better to Fear God

Image
Then Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, gave this order to the Hebrew midwives, Shiphrah and Puah: “When you help the Hebrew women as they give birth, watch as they deliver. If the baby is a boy, kill him; if it is a girl, let her live.” But because the midwives feared God, they refused to obey the king’s orders. They allowed the boys to live, too.” — Exodus 1:15-17 (NLT) It is better to fear God rather than man. “The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe.” (Proverbs 29:25 NKJV) So God was good to the midwives, and the Israelites continued to multiply, growing more and more powerful. And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.” (Exodus 1:20-21 NLT) Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples. For great is the LORD and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. — Psalms 96:3-4 (NASB1995)

Our Refuge

Image
Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge. I said to the LORD, “You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you.” — Psalms 16:1-2 (NLT) “Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.” (Psalms 73:25-26 NLT) “LORD, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine.” (Psalms 16:5) “I will bless the LORD who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me. I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.” (Psalms 16:7-8 NLT) Take refuge in YAHWEH.  For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD bestows grace and favor and honor; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. — Psalms 84:11 (AMP)

Keep Coming Closer

Image
“ But I’ll keep coming closer and closer to you, Lord YAHWEH, for your name is good to me. I’ll keep telling the world of your awesome works, my faithful and glorious God! ” — Psalms 73:28 (TPT) In Isaiah 29:13 (NASB1995), the Lord said, “…this people draw near with their words and honor Me with their lip service, but they remove their Ghearts far from Me, and their reverence for Me consists of tradition learned by rote…” Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. (See Hebrews 10:22 NASB1995) “Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you. But make sure you cleanse your life, you sinners, and keep your heart pure and stop doubting.” James (Jacob) 4:8 (TPT) But as for me, it is good for me to draw near to God; I have made the Lord GOD my refuge and placed my trust in Him, that I may tell of all Your works. — Psalms 73:28 (AMP)

In The Shadow of His Wings

Image
Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious and merciful to me, for my soul finds shelter and safety in You, and in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge and be confidently secure until destruction passes by. — Psalms 57:1 (AMP) “O God, how extravagant is your cherishing love! All mankind can find a hiding place under the shadow of your wings.” (Psalms 36:7 TPT) Because you are my helper, I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely. (Psalms 63:7-8 NLT) Guard me as you would guard your own eyes. Hide me in the shadow of your wings. (Psalms 17:8 NLT) Let me live forever in your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of your wings! Interlude (Psalms 61:4 NLT)

Go & Tell

Image
And when He got into the boat, he who had been demon-possessed begged Him that he might be with Him. However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.” And he departed and began to proclaim in Decapolis all that Jesus had done for him; and all marveled. — Mark 5:18-20 (NKJV) Before his encounter with Yeshua, this man was possessed by an evil spirit. He dwelt among the tombs and whenever he was put into chains and shackles, he snapped the chains from his wrists and smashed the shackles. Day and night he wandered among the burial caves and in the hills, howling and cutting himself with sharp stones. (See Mark 5:1-5) After time with Yeshua, the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, was sitting and clothed and in his right mind… (See Mark 5:15) Yeshua, the Son of the Most High God, brings healing and wholeness into our lives. We are forever changed in ...

He Cares

Image
A great windstorm arises, and the waves were rushing into the boat. The boat was beginning to fill up. But Yeshua was in the back of the boat, sleeping on a pillow. They wake Him up and say to Him, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are perishing?” — Mark 4:37-38 (TLV) What a question! Never think for one second that our mighty Savior doesn’t care about you. In Mark 1:41 (TLV), Yeshua is moved with compassion to touch and heal a man with leprosy. Matthew 9:36 says, when He saw the crowds, He felt compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. In Mark 4:40, He asked the disciples, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?” When you encounter storms of any kind, may you have faith to know that Yeshua, the Prince of Peace is able to calm any storm, just as He did in Mark 4:39. And He cares for us so much that He gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from this present evil age. (See Galatians 1:4) When the storms of life come, the wicke...

Worship Only God

Image
Give unto the LORD, O you mighty ones, give unto the LORD glory and strength. Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. — Psalms 29:1-2 (NKJV) Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with songs of praise. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods. (Psalms 95:1-3) There is no one holy like Yahweh; Indeed, there is no one besides You, nor is there any rock like our God. (1 Samuel 2:2 LSB) Worship only God! Yahweh sat enthroned over the flood; Indeed, Yahweh sits as King forever. Yahweh will give strength to His people; Yahweh will bless His people with peace. (Psalms 29:10-11 LSB) Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together. (Psalms 34:3) Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness! Give to Yahweh the glory due His name.

Find Strength & Encouragement

Image
When David and his men came to the town, it was burned, and their wives and their sons and their daughters had been taken captive. Then David and the people who were with him raised their voices and wept until they were too exhausted to weep [any longer]. Further, David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him, for all of them were embittered, each man for his sons and daughters. But David felt strengthened and encouraged in the LORD his God. — 1 Samuel 30:3-4, 6 (AMP) So David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” (1 Samuel 30:8 NKJV) When we are dealing with traumatic circumstances, we may weep, but let us also find strength and encourage ourselves in Yahweh, our great and mighty GOD. Then seek His will for what actions we are to take. Knowing that we can do all things [which He has called us to do] through Him who strength...

He Remembers You

Image
O LORD, how long will you forget me? Forever? How long will you look the other way? How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart every day? How long will my enemy have the upper hand? — Psalms 13:1-2 (NLT) Never believe the lies of the enemy when he says Abba Father has forgotten about you. Genesis 30:22-23 (NLT) says: God remembered Rachel’s plight and answered her prayers by enabling her to have children. She became pregnant and gave birth to a son. “God has removed my disgrace,” she said. Just as He remembered Rachel, Yahweh remembers your plight. He knows your struggles and is intimately aware of all that concerns you. He promises to be with you always, and He is faithful to bring you through all of your troubles, trials and temptations. Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. — Psalms 37:5-6 (NKJV)

Watch Your Words

Image
Then Job answered and said: “How long will you torment my soul, and break me in pieces with words? These ten times you have reproached me; You are not ashamed that you have wronged me.” — Job 19:1-3 (NKJV) Proverbs 18:21 says, death and life are in the power of the tongue. In Genesis 27:33 (NLT), after Isaac had mistakenly blessed Jacob, he told Esau that the blessing must stand! Our words are powerful. When we cut people with our words, we may go back and apologize, but the damage has already been done. There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword, but the tongue of the wise promotes health. (Proverbs 12:18 NKJV) Do you see a man hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him. (Proverbs 29:20 NKJV) May we be slow to speak and carefully choose our words. Let us speak wise words, those of life, love, peace, and blessing. Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweet and delightful to the soul and healing to the body. (Proverbs 16:24 AMP)  In Exodus 4:12 (NLT),...

The Everlasting God

Image
Abraham planted a tamarisk tree at Beersheba, and there he called on the name of the LORD, the Everlasting God. — Genesis 21:33 (NASB1995) Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. (Isaiah 40:28 NLT) All that comes our way in this life, will eventually come to pass. But the LORD is the only true God. He is the living God and the everlasting King! The whole earth trembles at his anger. The nations cannot stand up to his wrath. (Jeremiah 10:10 NLT) He is El Olam, the eternal God, Who lives forever. “There is none like the God of Jeshurun (Israel), Who rides the heavens to your help, and through the skies in His majestic glory. “The eternal God is your refuge and dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms...” (See Deuteronomy 33:26-27 AMP). Trust in the LORD forever, for in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength. (Isaiah 26:4...

True Wisdom

Image
“But true wisdom and power are found in God; counsel and understanding are his. What he destroys cannot be rebuilt. When he puts someone in prison, there is no escape. If he holds back the rain, the earth becomes a desert. If he releases the waters, they flood the earth.” — Job 12:13-15 (NLT) God made the earth by His power; He established the world by His wisdom and by His understanding and skill He has stretched out the heavens. (Jeremiah 10:12 AMP) Yahweh is the very source of all power, wisdom and knowledge. If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him. (James 1:5 AMP) Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise him forever! — Psalms 111:10 (NLT)

The God Who Sees Me

Image
Thereafter, Hagar used another name to refer to the LORD, who had spoken to her. She said, “You are the God who sees me.” She also said, “Have I truly seen the One who sees me?” — Genesis 16:13 (NLT) Sarai treated Hagar so harshly that she finally ran away. However, the angel of the LORD found Hagar beside a spring of water in the wilderness... (See Genesis 16:6-7 NLT) Wherever we go, we can never escape from the Spirit of Yahweh. We can never get away from His Presence. (See Psalms 139:7) Psalms 139:9-10 says: “If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me.” When it seems as though you are wandering in the wilderness, remember that He is “the God Who Sees me.” (El Roi) He is with you and is aware of your circumstances. Yahweh will instruct you and guide you along the right path. Psalms 16:11 says, He will show you the way of life, granting you the joy of His presence and the pleasures of li...

Seek & Trust Yahweh

Image
“You can be sure of this: The LORD set apart the godly for himself. The LORD will answer when I call to him. Don’t sin by letting anger control you. Think about it overnight and remain silent. Interlude Offer sacrifices in the right spirit, and trust the LORD.” — Psalms 4:3-5 (NLT) Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. (Ephesians 4:31-32 NLT) Seek the LORD [search diligently for Him and regard Him as the foremost necessity of your life], all you humble of the land who have practiced His ordinances and have kept His commandments; Seek righteousness, seek humility [regard them as vital]. Perhaps you will be hidden [and pardoned and rescued] in the day of the LORD’s anger. (Zephaniah 2:3 AMP) ...you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. ...

He Directs Our Steps

Image
A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], but the LORD directs his steps and establishes them. — Proverbs 16:9 (AMP) You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail. (Proverbs 19:21 NLT) Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV) Seek His will and follow His guidance. The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” (Psalms 32:8 NLT) “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the LORD, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11 AMP)

Our Maker

Image
Then Yahweh God formed man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and so the man became a living being. — Genesis 2:7 (LSB) But now, O Yahweh, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand. (Isaiah 64:8 LSB) For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and intricately woven in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my unshaped substance; (See Psalms 139:13, 15-16 LSB) We are not here by accident. Our heavenly Father intentionally created each one of us, with purpose and a good plan for our lives. He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him in love, (See Ephesians 1:4). Give thanks to Yahweh, for you are fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are His works, and your soul knows it very well. (See Psalms 139:14) Come, let us worship and bow down, let us kne...
