Enjoy Life

“And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God. God keeps such people so busy enjoying life that they take no time to brood over the past.” —Ecclesiastes 5:19-20 (NLT)

Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. (1 Timothy 6:17 NKJV) Instead of brooding over the past, take the steps today that are headed in the direction of where you want to be tomorrow. However, the reality is you have no idea where your life will take you tomorrow. You are like a mist that appears one moment and then vanishes another. (See James 4:14 VOICE) But those who die in the LORD will live; their bodies will rise again! Those who sleep in the earth will rise up and sing for joy! For your life-giving light will fall like dew on your people in the place of the dead! (Isaiah 26:19 NLT)

And, when all is said and done, here is the last word: worship in reverence the one True God, and keep His commands, for this is what God expects of every person. —Ecclesiastes 12:13 (VOICE)

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
