But the greatest among you shall be your servant. Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled; and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted. —Matthew 23:11-12 (NASB1995)

The humble He guides in justice, and the humble He teaches His way. (Psalms 25:9 NKJV) Humble yourselves [with an attitude of repentance and insignificance] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up, He will give you purpose]. (James 4:10 AMP)  “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45 NLT) Let us consider how we may serve others each and every day. 

A man’s pride and sense of self-importance will bring him down, but he who has a humble spirit will obtain honor. —Proverbs 29:23 (AMP)
