Have Hope

Image
It is because of the LORD’s lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness. — Lamentations 3:22-23 (AMP) “This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope.” (Lamentations 3:21 NASB1995) Keep your hope and your confidence in Yahweh because His faithful love never ends. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39 NLT) Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You. — Psalms 143:8 (NKJV)

Our Refuge & Strength

Image
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains shake into the heart of the sea; Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its lofty pride. Selah. — Psalms 46:1-3 (LSB) Surely He is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be shaken. On God my salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah. (Psalms 62:6-8 LSB) He has been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat… (See Isaiah 25:4 NKJV). If you have grown weary draw your strength from Yahweh. If you are in the midst of a storm, take refuge in Him. He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. (See Psalms 18:30 LSB) How blessed are ALL who take refuge in Him! (See Psalms 2:12 LSB)

How Do You Know?

Image
Look here, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.” How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. — James 4:13-14 (NLT) What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” Otherwise you are boasting about your own pretentious plans, and all such boasting is evil. (James 4:15-16 NLT) Commit your way to Yahweh, trust in Him, and He will do it. (Psalms 37:5 LSB) He will show you the path of life. (See Psalms 16:11 NKJV) Seek Yahweh and humbly submit to His will. He knows the plans He has for you. (See Jeremiah 29:11)

Blessed

Image
Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. — Psalms 32:1 (NKJV) Not a single person on earth is always good and never sins. (Ecclesiastes 7:20 NLT) “But I did find this: God created people to be virtuous, but they have each turned to follow their own downward path.” (Ecclesiastes 7:29) “God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him. (Acts 17:30 NLT) Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away. (Acts 3:19 NLT)  We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. (Romans 3:22-24 NLT)

Set Your Mind

Image
Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value]. — Colossians 3:2 (AMP) What we allow our minds to dwell on eventually gets into our hearts and comes out in our actions. Instead of being focused o n earthly things, set your mind on things above. For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ… (See Philippians 3:19-20 NKJV). And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. (Philippians 4:8 NLT) ...be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and...

Wisdom from Above

Image
But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. — James 3:17 (NLT) Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and turn away from evil. ( Proverbs 3:7 NASB1995) What sorrow for those who are wise in their own eyes and think themselves so clever. (Isaiah 5:21 NLT) If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. (James 1:5-6 NLT) First Corinthians 3:19 (NASB1995) says, the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. Let us seek the wisdom from above, coming down to us from the Father of lights.

Exalt the LORD

Image
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; Let the sea roar, and all its fullness; Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it. Then all the trees of the woods will rejoice before the LORD. For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth.
He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with His truth.  — Psalms 96:11-13 (NKJV) Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at His holy hill; For the LORD our God is holy. (Psalms 99:9 NKJV) … the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. (Psalms 100:5) The heavens declare His righteousness, and all the peoples see His glory. (Psalms 97:6) Psalms 98:3 says, all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. (Psalms 97:11-12 NKJV)

The King of Glory

Image
Lift up your heads, O gates, and be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in! Who is this King of glory? Yahweh strong and mighty, Yahweh mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O gates, and lift yourselves up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in! Who is He, this King of glory? Yahweh of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah. — Psalms 24:7-10 (LSB) …You, O LORD, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head. (Psalms 3:3 NKJV) My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. (Psalms 121:2-3 NKJV) Yahweh is righteous in all His ways and holy in all His works. Yahweh is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. (Psalms 145:17-18 LSB) My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD, and all flesh will bless and gratefully praise His holy name forever and ever. (Psalms 145:21 AMP)

Proclaim His Praises

Image
“God rescued me from the grave, and now my life is filled with light.’ “Yes, God does these things again and again for people. He rescues them from the grave so they may enjoy the light of life.” — Job‬ ‭33‬:‭28‬-‭30‬ (NLT‬‬) Praise Yahweh for drawing us out of darkness and into His marvelous light! For you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. (See 1 Peter 2:9-10 NKJV) For He is the living God, and steadfast forever; His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, and His dominion shall endure to the end. He delivers and rescues, and He works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth, Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions. (See Daniel 6:26-27 NKJV)

Praise GOD!

Image
I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever. I will praise you every day; yes, I will praise you forever. Great is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness. — Psalms 145:1-3 (NLT) Yahweh is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him. (Psalms 103:8 & 11 LSB) The LORD is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation. All of your works will thank you, LORD, and your faithful followers will praise you. (Psalms 145:9-10 NLT) Yahweh is righteous in all His ways and holy in all His works. Yahweh is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. (Psalms 145:17-18 LSB) I will praise the LORD, and may everyone on earth bless his holy name forever and ever. (Psalms 145:21 NLT)

Run with Endurance

Image
Then the LORD answered me and said, “Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run. For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal, and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay.” — Habakkuk 2:2-3 (NASB1995) Yahweh has revealed His plan and purpose in His written Word. Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. (Hebrews 12:1-2 NLT) Read the Word and run with it. “Where there is no vision [no revelation of God and His word], the people are unre...

Follow His Instructions

Image
The LORD has given me a strong warning not to think like everyone else does. He said, “Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do, and don’t live in dread of what frightens them. Make the LORD of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life. He is the one you should fear. He is the one who should make you tremble.” — Isaiah 8:11-13 (NLT) “The one you must fear is God, for he has both the power to take your life and the authority to cast your soul into hell. Yes, the only one you need to fear is God.” (Luke 12:5 TPT) “What sorrow for those who say that evil is good and good is evil, that dark is light and light is dark, that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter.” (‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭5‬:‭20‬ ‭NLT‬‬) “Look to God’s instructions and teachings! People who contradict his word are completely in the dark.” (Isaiah 8:20 NLT) The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine. (Isaiah 9:2 NLT) Unto the upright there arises light in the da...

Wake Up!

Image
“This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here. So remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living.” — Romans 13:11-12 (NLT) “Because we belong to the day, we must live decent lives for all to see. Don’t participate in the darkness of wild parties and drunkenness, or in sexual promiscuity and immoral living, or in quarreling and jealousy. Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.” (Romans 13:13-14 NLT) “Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.” (Philippians 2:14-15 NLT) ...let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the bre...

Do You Believe?

Image
“Can the dead live again? If so, this would give me hope through all my years of struggle, and I would eagerly await the release of death.” — Job 14:14 (NLT) GOD has decided the length of our lives. He knows how many months we will live, and we are not given a minute longer. (See Job 14:5 NLT) However, we can have hope because we have King Yeshua, the resurrection and the life. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. (See 2 Corinthians 5:6-8) In John 11:25-26 (NKJV) Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died. (...

Created with a Purpose

Image
“You guided my conception and formed me in the womb. You clothed me with skin and flesh, and you knit my bones and sinews together. You gave me life and showed me your unfailing love. My life was preserved by your care.” — Job 10:10-12 (NLT) You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. (Psalms 139:15-16 NLT) Yahweh intentionally created you with a purpose and plan for your life.  Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. (Ephesians 1:4-5) Don’t fall for the distractions the devil brings your way in his attempt to steal, kill and destroy all that God has for yo...

Pray for All

Image
“I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.” — 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NLT) The Word of God instructs us to pray for all people, not to criticize or complain about them. “The Lord does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.” (See 2 Peter 3:9) And the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. (See James 5:16 NLT) First Timothy 3-4 says: “Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.” Grace, mercy, and peace [inner calm and spiritual well-being] from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. (See 1 Timothy 1:2 AMP)

Be Gentle

Image
A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare. — Proverbs 15:1 (NLT)  “Stop being angry! Turn from your rage! Do not lose your temper— it only leads to harm.” (Psalms 37:8 NLT) An angry person starts fights; a hot-tempered person commits all kinds of sin. (Proverbs 29:22 NLT) Don’t befriend angry people or associate with hot-tempered people, or you will learn to be like them and endanger your soul. (Proverbs 22:24-25 NLT) Gentle words are a tree of life…(See Proverbs 15:4) Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness , and patience. (Colossians 3:12) First Timothy 6:11 (NLT) instructs us to pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making al...

Trust God

Image
Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. — 1 Timothy 6:17 (NLT) As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. (Psalm 18:30 NKJV) No matter what we have or who we are, our trust should be in God. Our circumstances are temporary. Yahweh is eternal. Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah (Psalms 62:8 NKJV) The things of this world will eventually pass away. Yahweh is the Everlasting God. …it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all Your works. (Psalms 73:28 NKJV) Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. — Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)

Call Upon His Name

Image
Oh give thanks to Yahweh, call upon His name; Make known His acts among the peoples. — Psalms 105:1 (LSB) And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved. (Acts 2:21 NKJV) For there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile; for the same Lord is Lord over all [of us], and [He is] abounding in riches (blessings) for all who call on Him [in faith and prayer]. “For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD [in prayer] will be saved.” (Romans 10:12-13 AMP) “His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us. For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’ (Acts 17:27-28 NLT) For from Him [all things originate] and through Him [all things live and exist] and to Him are all things [directed]. To Him be glory and honor forever! Amen. (Romans 11:36 AMP)

More than Conquerors

Image
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. — Romans 8:37 (AMP) When evil people come to devour me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident. (Psalms 27:2-3 NLT) Yahweh is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him. (See Psalms 28:7) Proverbs 24:16 (NLT) says, the godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. No matter how many times you stumble and fall, get up again. Keep pressing on and don't draw back. “For with God nothing will be impossible.” (Luke 1:37 NKJV)

Don't be Silent

Image
You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever! — Psalms 30:11-12 (NLT) Let us sing praises to Yahweh and give thanks to Him, in all circumstances. We can show others the goodness of God, for he called us out of the darkness into his wonderful light. (See 1 Peter 2:9 NLT) I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. (Psalms 27:13 NKJV) And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. (Romans 8:28 AMP)
