The Greatest Commandment

Jesus replied, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” —Matthew 22:37-39 (NLT)

Let us make a dedicated decision to love the LORD our God with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength. And to make Him our refuge and delight ourselves in Him, instead of the temporary things of this world. He is the only One who can satisfy a hungry and thirsty soul. Above all, have fervent and unfailing love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins [it overlooks unkindness and unselfishly seeks the best for others]. (1 Peter 4:8 NKJV)

Patient Endurance

But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.” But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction.
