Truth Sets Us Free

Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
John 8:31-32 (NLT)

Yeshua came into the world to testify to the truth. (See John 18:37) The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is upon Him, for the LORD has anointed Him to bring good news to the poor. He was sent to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. (See Isaiah 61:1)

“…the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ.” (See Galatians 3:22 NLT) Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace. (Romans 6:14 NLT) Be a true disciple of Christ and remain faithful to His teachings. May we press on to know the truth and be set free from anything or anyone that attempts to hold us captive.

For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.Galatians 5:13 (NLT)
